Gmail says MacBook Air browser no longer supported

On my MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2012), using Version 9.1.2 (11601.7.7), my gmail account says my safari browser is no longer supported. I turned off all extensions but the notice did not go away. I have also not received at emails from at least one person that were confirmed, sent, and received on my phone. Anyone have a solution?

gmail not working A couple weeks ago Gmail suddenly stopped working for me in Mail 11.5 on MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6. I keep getting an error message see attached pic i tried a different mail client, see attached pic i tried deleting my security certificates, and that didnt work so i restored them from time machine backup. I've tried changing the default browser and deleted one of my gmail accounts but i cant add it back in. I can log in just fine through the mail app because i get alerts from Google on my phone that someone logged in. But no mail. I can log into Gmail on my browser too. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

If you computer won't upgrade to High Sierra, try El Capitan.

Check to make sure your applications are compatible.

Application Compatibility

El Capitan 10.11 Compatibility information

Also check to make sure there is a compatible driver for your printer.

Do a backup before installing, preferable 2 backups on 2 different drives.

One option is to use Firefox instead of Safari: The new, fast browser for Mac, PC and Linux | Firefox
