Can't record audio in Logic Pro X

Can't record audio in Logic Pro X

I have a keyboard hooked up to an audio interface which works beautifully with Logic Pro X. I can hear my keyboard's own instruments and have been able to record with them in the past. But today, whenever I'd hit "r" nothing would record. The track is record enabled, the "R" on the track strip is red, autopunch is turned off, input monitoring is enabled and sync is set to internal. So, anyone know what's going on?

MacBook Pro TouchBar and Touch ID, macOS High Sierra (10.13.6), Logic Pro X

You're recording an audio track...Does the recording channel strip have the correct Inputs set?

What does Logic's Preferences/Audio/Devices look like? Everything set up correctly?

Thanks! I can see that you actually have an External Instrument plugin inserted on a software Instrument track (Mellow Grand Piano). Could you open the plugin's window (double-click on its slot) and take a screenshot as well?

Cool. What happens when you press a key on the keyboard? Can you hear the sound? If not, click on the "Compare" button to deselect it. Then try recording again.
