Mouse pointer wont change to hand

I'm still having the issue earlier described in this thread where my mouse is stuck as the arrow pointer even when I move over a link. Not only is this annoying, but I can no longer hover over a link that brings up sub links below it. I have to click on the main link because my computer can no longer tell what's a link and waht isn't unless I click on it. Huge pain in the behind.

I logged in as the guest user on my machine and everything worked fine so the issue is with my user. Can anyone help?

Third party app interference.

One known app is Adobe Acrobat Reader. Uninstall it or try quitting the app first.

To trouble shoot further you can:

Try a SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

Takes noticeable longer to get to the login screen as certain system caches, dynamic loader cache etc get cleared and

rebuilt. This test will tell you if third party interference; extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.

Test issue in another user (or guest user) account https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204443

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.

running the http://etrecheck.com developed by one of own here in the ASC, will give you a good luck at your system and third party extension/ktext/apps.

You can post the output if you need further help interpreting the data
