iTunes wont recognise books

I'm setting up a new laptop, which is now Windows 10, and I've installed the latest version of iTunes on it. I've always stored the music and books for iTunes on a USB attached 1Tb drive and I've been having fun trying to make this work correctly on the new laptop. I've managed to get it to recognise the music but not the books. What am I doing wrong?

See Move your iTunes library to a new computer and Managing apps with iTunes 12.7 or later. If you move the library properly there is no need to import anything to the library on the new computer. iTunes 12.7 removed support for managing iBooks & ePub files. Audiobooks are still supported. See Audiobooks on iPods for more on managing audiobooks in iTunes.
