Measure App not working in iPhone 6

Today I have updated my iPhone to iOS 12. One of the new of app Measure is not available in my device.

When I searched on app store, it says, 'This app requires specific features not available on this device'.

As communicated iOS 12 features will work from iPhone 5. Please let me know the problem and solution.

There's no confusion. Your iPhone must have Apple A9 processor (iPhone 6S & iPhone SE) or later chip to use AR.

The Measure app uses augmented reality (AR) technology to turn your iOS device into a tape measure. You can quickly gauge the size of objects, automatically detect the dimensions of rectangular objects, and save a photo of the measurement for later.

Before you start

First, make sure that you're using iOS 12 on iPhone SE, iPhone 6s or later, iPad (5th Generation), or iPad Pro. Also make sure that you're in a place with good lighting.

Is it possible even iphone 6 has not supported measure app but how come in iphone 5?

The Measure app is not supported on either the iPhone 6 or the iPhone 5. If you have a device that supports it that you think is an iPhone 5, it's probably really an iPhone SE which is, essentially, the iPhone 6S in a smaller package.

The iPhone 6 does not have the requisite hardware to support Apple's Measure app.

What device do you have, Measure requires iOS12 or higher on iPhone 6s or higher, it will not work on iPhone 6 or lower and because of that shouldn't be available for download on those (lower spec) devices.

If you do have a supported device but either the app will not download or will not start, you may need to contact Apple.

All this has already been posted in this discussion so it might be useful if you have time to look back and see what you can find.

...The fact is that iPhone 6 users have every right to expect the announcements about iOS 12 to apply to them, if Apple do not make it clear that they don't in fact apply. It was undoubtedly poor communication.

I must be missing something here, doesn't the Measure App use Augmented Reality, and AR is only supported on devices with an A9 chip or higher, therefore with the iPhone 6 only having an A8 it will not support this new technology. Below are from Apple's web site for iOS 12 and Augmented Reality (ie from two pages):

Now I suppose it depends on your definition of "clear", yes you have to join a couple of dots but the information is there if one looks, but hasn't this always been Apple's way 😁

Then your wife and daughter have iPhone 6s or 7, not iPhone 6. It's not possible for the measure app to be available or work on iPhone 6. You can disagree all you want, but this is fact.

I regard this as very poor communication by Apple. My iPhone 6 gets exactly the same 'rah-rah' announcements as my later devices and I saw no mention of this limitation. What is the point of offering a 'wonderful new app' and it is very useful one, when in fact the app doesn't work on the device receiving the 'wonderful' news.

You can't be serious? Your phone was introduced now almost 5 years ago. In cell phone life, that's a LONG time ago. If your phone could handle the Measure App, Apple would have given it to you, but like many of the newer features in the new iPhone's your phone won't get it. If you want the newer features, you should probably get a newer phone.

When you car manufacturer adds a feature, like a more powerful engine to a newer generation car, do you expect them to retroactively update your car? Of course you don't.
