Since upgrading my iPhone X to iOS 12 and my watch series 2 to WatchOS 5 I am not getting email notifications on my watch. It appears VIP email notifications work. I've tried everything I can think of.

Oh, in case the original post I referenced was missed, for those who are having this issue (apparently after upgrading to WatchOS 5), go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > New Mail > Vibration (at top of screen - I had to scroll up) > change from “None (Default)” to your preferred option. This worked for me and my watch started vibrating again with mail notifications.
5.0.1 was released today. Does anyone know if it fixed this issue?

Me either. I’ve tried every possible watch and iPhone combination. Rebooted both multiple times. Nada.
Strange isn’t it? Sounds like that’s how you fix a Microsoft product. Someone at Apple wasn’t paying attention during testing

The swipe issue is the same for me as well. Notifications also not working.

I too am experiencing the same issue since the upgrade to watchOS 5.
No favorite mailbox in my watch OS 5.0.1. Didn’t work for me.
I edited the post to say it's in iPhone settings. My iOS software versio is 12.0.1.
That’s where I looked. iOS 12.01 also. I get vibration notifications and a preview but no red dot.
I own two Apple watches. Both are set up the same. Both have identical software. The Series 2 shows the red dot. The series 4 does not.

I’m sad to say that the update to 12.1 and 5.1 did nothing. In fact I just read that folks with watch series 4 have had their devices bricked by the latest update. Way to go Apple.
Didn’t do anything for me. I was actually getting speratic notifications but now nothing on Series 4 watch and XS Max.
