You can’t.

(Sorry for the “harsh-sounding” reality)

What makes you think that you need to do so?

So … since you’re going to have to “live with it”

Recommend that you carefully review and thoroughly digest the two fairly important and informative articles linked below.

Pay particularly close attention to thoughtfully selecting and setting up Trusted Numbers … these become critical when you need to regain access to your account (e.g. lost, damaged, or stolen device).

Words like “absurd” can have that reaction.

absurd = illogical.

our posts were full of opinions.

I'll take my chances with the Apple hosts, They will determine if I cross a line. Opinions are not banned. Opinions about Apple Policy and decisions are. Not the same thing at all.

Thinly veiled by facts and quotes.

See? Emotional. You can question me and my motives all you wish. My facts stand.

Again, for anyone who is following this... I accept that users have issues with 2FA. I don't, so can't directly empathize. I don't have issues with syncing Photos while others do. I may lead a charmed iOS life, but I rarely have issues. I don't do anything special to achieve this. Hundreds of millions of iOS users are the same. No ongoing issues.

If 100,000 users are having issues, that still represents a very small number of users and does not represent an iOS that is fundamentally flawed. With hundreds of carriers to embrace, millions of apps to install and millions of ways to use those apps, issues will happen. Those who need a mission critical mobile device with fewer failures should use a more controlled platform where there are far fewer variables.

Hi according to the link it says once device is signed in “quote it won’t ask again “ so if that were true I would be more than happy but every time I loose any form of WiFi or 4g connection it wants me to sing in again and again so I have contacted Apple and been told this should not happen but after so many calls and Apple checking account settings screen sharing my devices the problems are still there so all I’m truly asking for is if they can’t fix the problem then remove the problem until it’s fixed. Is this really too much to ask after spending thousands of pounds on devices? I think overall I’m being misunderstood here I want 2FA to work or get it removed until it does work I just had a senior support agent openly tell me after all the checks and another shared screen session during which another request appeared to sign in again and they have no explanation or solution so if the manufacturer can’t fix the problems they should offer the choice to remove it As with many electronic devices issues maybe removing it and re activating it may in its self resolve the problem but since nobody seems to be able or willing to do this I have no choice but to be stuck with this.

please understand until 2FA I have never had any issues with Apple devices or systems never had to contact customer support and never any problem whatsoever now my life revolves around device to device signing in I’m too busy for all this I need some proper help or this system removed or reset on

my account and there is no help just lots of bewildered support agents that can’t fix an issue that their company started

Unless I’m mistaken you cannot even use an email address as a trusted device

I use 2FA on Microsoft and android and have no problems as it sends any codes to my desired email address

I just think until the bugs are gone so should Apple 2FA if anyone has any suggestions as to how to stop this intrusive system asking to sign in every time you loose connection.i would be glad to hear it

Apple are no help whatsoever I’m sure because as all of these systems they are tested under lab conditions and not in the real world

they sit blissfully ignorant of the problems many of its subscribers are facing

but I have noticed a very small improvement after recent update but still too slow sloppy and full of bugs

Let’s face it Apple want you to buy new devices and scrap your old ones while they are still perfectly serviceable this makes even more money for them really doesn’t help environment though as the older devices are mostly landfill

I have lots of Apple products and until 2FA have never had any problems with anything never had to call support or ask community for help.

Im sure 2Fa will work eventually but until then we should be able to disable it

I have 3 iPads, 2 iPhones and 2 Macs and I have needed a 2FA code on average about once every month or less. So I have no idea what you’re doing that requires one 10 times a day.

I have used 2FA for four years since it came out with iOS 9, and was using 2 step verification for years before that. Apple’s 2 step login process works just fine. I also use 2 factor logins with my Google accounts, my bank account, my retirement account, my PS4 account, etc. I’ve not had a single issue with any of them. 2 factor login systems work just fine if you take 2 minutes to learn how they work, how to set them up, and how to setup alternative backups for getting codes.

Yes, mine works fine. It’s seems like other users are much note complicated. Have mote than one trusted phone.numbers eat. . I have actually read that . I’ll trvtrad it. It’s been awhile. Thanks for the reply.

Again... this is the worst possible conversation to gain a fair perspective on 2FA.

For the most part, this thread is made up of those indignant that they can';t disable it. It's not about how it works.

Your choice to have several trusted numbers is a wise one.
