Mojave not compatible with Google Drive File Stream

If you are running Google Drive File Stream and upgrade to Mojave, the context menu for setting a file/folder as online/offline and the icons for indicating whether a file/folder is online/offline are no longer available. There is currently no ETA from Google for a fix.

This is from Google Support: Release 28.1 with the fix continues to roll out. Some clients have been upgraded already. You can force an upgrade by installing

Hope this helps,

I updated my iMac's OS two days ago to Mojave (10.14). I then downloaded and installed Google FIle Stream for the very first time and it never runs. It shows up in the top menu bar but any time I attempt to sign in, it just errors out. Using "killall Finder" in terminal doesn't help. Maybe it does with folks who previously had File Stream already running, but from a fresh install of it, nothing works.

Thoughts (aside from waiting for a Google fix)...?

Thanks!

Richard

Yup, that was the fix!

Thank you and I wonder if you can clarify what I'm learning...

I'm a photographer an it seems when I choose to open a file (in Google Drive, stored in the cloud) using Photoshop, the cached file I choose to open in the Google Drive folder (stored online) downloads and opens it in Photoshop. I do my edits, save and/or close it/Photoshop and it updates in the could.

Is this true?

Thank you again for all your help!

Richard
