Turn off Apple Mail App
my wife has been using the Apple Mail app to get her Hotmail. She now wants to use the Microsoft Outlook mail app.
How does she stop the Apple app from getting her mail?
thank you.

In iOS 12 - Settings/ Passwords & Accounts/ (account name)/ Mail/ OFF

Another option which may be better is to leave the account set up in Settings, but simply turn OFF the mail portion of the account in iOS Settings. If you delete the Hotmail account entirely from iOS Settings, and Hotmail is the only source for one's contacts, then they won't be available for Phone, Message, etc. (Outlook will only provide contacts for mail). The same goes for Calendar and probably Notes (not sure if Hotmail provides a notes feature).
Delete the Hotmail account on Mail app.
Settings > Passwords and Accounts > ACCOUNTS section, select the account > tap the red Delete Account
That’s all I want is to shut it off. But I cant locate where to do this in settings. Could you show me please
Thanks
Philip
Thank you very much
