just try to uninstall Firefox and download it again

To uninstall Firefox, follow these steps:

1. Close Firefox (if Firefox is open): Click the Firefox menu at the top of the screen, then click Quit Firefox.
2. Open the Applications folder in Finder.
3. Drag the Firefox application to the Trash.

Your uninstall of Firefox is finished.

Thanks for the link but, according to the page the problem is unresolved, can't be reproduced and lastly, I have 5 Macs running Mojave with Firefox and Firefox Nightly and have no black screens to be found.

If you wanna full dark mode with Firefox without black screen, you must only write in the terminal:

defaults write org.mozilla.firefox NSRequiresAquaSystemAppearance 1

It is a problem with Firefox in relation to the new geek-kid "Dark Mode" ...

Open terminal and run the following command:

(and then logout)

defaults write -g NSRequiresAquaSystemAppearance -bool YES

First, try holding the "Shift" key while starting Firefox.

When you uninstalled Firefox, did you delete "~/Library/Application Support/Firefox"? If not, try moving it to the trash then start Firefox.

Same issue for me, it was working fine yesterday.

I don't see how that's possible. I've been running Firefox on Mojave in Dark Mode on 5 different Macs. Two of them since the first betas.

Just delete geek-kid "Dark Mode" and in FF will work normally in Mojave regular dark mode

defaults delete -g NSRequiresAquaSystemAppearance

defaults write org.mozilla.firefox NSRequiresAquaSystemAppearance 1
