Contacts disappeared from Address Book.

My contacts disappeared from my Mac after a recent up software upgrade. The contacts still exist on my iPhone and iPad. I've tried iTunes with no success. Solutions?

Go into the System/iCloud preference pane and uncheck Contacts. Reboot and reselect Contacts. Reboot again and see if the Contact get re-synced. It might take a while.
