I really need a refresh rate of 75 or higher? Did I just buy an expensive paperweight?
I have a neurological disease that requires higher refresh rate than 60 Hz.
I am told by the people in the chat system that I cannot change that.
I was told by one of them that they are smarter than my MD and that their diagnosis is that I'm not really sick at all and that since most people are ok with it, I should stop complaining.
That chat was ended right away.
The second one ended after they told me basically "tough luck you can't change it, it's 60"
This is not helpful and it's probably a violation of the disabilities act.
Please tell me if I need to try to get a refund, or if I can use a third party tool to change the refresh rate. Or do I get a better chance of a good refresh rate if I use an extra monitor?
The NVIDIA website says that they do not provide a driver for Mac for the specific video card used in my iMac.
Obviously this glaring error in Apple's assumptions needs to be addressed somehow.
I've seen community discussions here that also ended in "sorry it's 60 and can't be changed" or similar.
This has to be changeable. People are injured by it. It took me a while to figure out that that's what it was. It's triggering migraines and for me it comes with hemiplagia, so this setting is injuring me. And I'm not the only one. And I should not have to tell you my medical diagnosis for you to help me with something so obvious.
No excuses this time please. What can I do?
