Is this Malaware? Strange folders in Application Support.

PHOTOS BELOW - is this Malaware?

A. While browsing application support folder I found a few strange folders.

B. DNS connections have appeared in Network on System Preferences.

Files in the Knowledge folder end in .db, .db-wal, and .db-shm which have no associated application and don't appear to come from apple. Not sure how they got on my hard drive since it has recently been reformatted. Before the reformat, an application called Spi was attempting to access my administrator password.
