IPhone 6s Rear Camera Stopped Working

The rear camera on my iPhone 6s suddenly stopped working. I can take selfies, but the rear camera shows nothing but a black screen with the camera icons. I had my battery replaced at the Apple Store this summer, but no problems with the camera until recently. I have tried all of the troubleshooting tips from Apple, and have gone so far as to fully backup and restore, but nothing has worked. Please help 🙏🏽

Greetings mikaelfromcoatesville,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! I understand you're unable to use the camera on your iPhone as expected, as you mentioned only a black preview is displayed.

The following support article provides troubleshooting suggestions for when help is needed with the camera on your iPhone: If the camera on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch isn't working

If the behavior persists after going through the troubleshooting suggestions, it would then be best to contact Apple for service assistance:

Get more help

If your camera still isn't working, take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Authorized Service Provider for more help.

The following support article will help you to prepare your iPhone for service: Get your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch ready for service

Kind regards.
