Do you use a glass screen protector?
Take it off.
These new iPad Pro models with the new liquid retina display do not like ANY type of screen protector on the screen.
Touch response is poor with any type of applied screen protector.
I have a iPad Pro, 12.9 inch, 3rd gen, Verizon version, and yes, occasionally, when I’m typing or playing game, the bottom portion of the iPad would be occasionally become unresponsive to touch.....
They swapped mine too, but now it is happening again. It is happening to multiple series from what I see. Oh well, they can have this one back too.
I hope it's the IOS, but I'm more doubtful all the time. I bought my original in March 2018. It has now been replaced twice. We'll see if I'm back here again in six months.
Having the same problems. Have done reboots and so on. Still freezing. Not good at all. I think i’ll Need to return the iPad
Same here. They did something wrong when they built this touch screen. It would be nice to see Apple own up once in a while. It's hard to break my addiction after more than 30 years.
I just read the list of fixes for 12.2; there's nothing there.

Nope. Seemed ok for 5 minutes. Then back to issues .

Funny I never had this issue UNTIL 12.2! Came here looking for possible answers.
Sorry to say my screen response problem is back tonight even though i had a couple of good days with 12.2 😡
I have tried a hard restart, soft restart. My unit is won’t type properly from passcode entry onwards. Tried no case etc too. I’m out.
Dunno. As I wrote before, they've replaced mine twice now. I know, that's just me, but....twice. On my third one.
You are seriously downplaying this issue. As I’d clearly stated, I have six devices... spanning 3 releases. It is a widespread issue, not a “very small percentage”.
