Since the Update on my MacBook Pro 15 - 2019. True tone switches several Times a Minute.
Looks like I'm not alone.
Could you please check that?

I just had a chat with Apple Support on this. It was not yet a known problem for them, but they advised me to perform a NVRAM/PRAM reset: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063
After this procedure the True Tone switches and flickering are gone on my system (it's 15 minutes since performing the procedure, so I guess time will tell, but looking good so far..)
I'm having this problem across both of my macbooks. The issue is especially severe when I'm sitting agains a teal wall - the laptop can't decide between the warm color of the human face and the cool color of the wall and goes absolutely nuts flickering its color temperature back and forth.
True Tone is absolutely awesome when it works. I love it. But on Apple laptops it's just broken since 10.14.6, and no one at Apple has bothered fixing it so far.
Very sad.
Same issue for me on my two macbook pro 13" and 15". I have it off when working on photo editing but very annoying when on. I will not update to Catalina for software compatibility. Not happy with Apple and the lack of aknowledgement of this bug
I certainly am still having the problem. I've chatted and e-mailed Apple but get no specific response other than "any time a problem has been reported, then we are working on it." Still VERY frustrated.
This is very disappointing from apple with their so expensive product. I had enough with their products, they make me suffer and wasting my life to tackle their problems. And their staff are not aware about their problems. All they do is wasting my time and frustrate me more!

Reset it twice. No change. Problem still persists. Resetting PRAM is same answer like try to reboot once..
Which update? Can you send Link? Over the Air update it doesn't show any..
The mentioned update was released long time ago and fixed the issue with a battery drain, not the new True Tone issue.
Same problem here on a MBP 13" with Touch Bar. NVRAM/PRAM reset and SMC reset didn't help.
Same problem here since upgrade to 10.14.6. MBP 15'' 2018. NVRAM reset didn't fix the issue.
I have the same problem and resetting the parameters did not fix anything, the True Tone is switching on and off every couple of seconds like ****
I also have this issue on my MacBook Pro 15" 2018. I guess we're just going to have to wait for a fix from Apple?

Clearly started happening after updating to macOS 10.14.6.

Hope that it is software issue, because I have problems with true tone and screen flickering sometimes on some websites or pdf files.
