After updating to iOS 13, all photos previously sent and received through iMessage are gone. Has anyone else encountered this issue and found a solution?

Just a suggestion which you may have already tried, but on my phone if I click on the info icon at the top and scroll to the bottom it says x number of images in iCloud and there is an option to download them. Hope this helps
That is also happening to me my photos and links aren’t showing on the info part of iMessage where they are supposed to be.
Anyone switch to iOS 14 yet? I wonder if that fixes it.

same issue. I can no longer see any pics exchanged via iMessage. Have to scroll back to conversation. Super inconvenient.

All my communications are via texting, not Messages.

I’ve given up. I’m also out of storage on iCloud. I’ll just pay for more and hope my history returns whenever I get a new phone one day. It’s not right but Apple is too big to care.
We’re are all my pictures and Correspondence on my messages . What happened to them? You had absolutely no right to remove them without my approval!!!!!!!

I’ll try restoring on an old iPhone soon, once my wife gets a new one. I’ll see if that makes a difference
