Unable to rearrange app icons in ios 13

But, i do need to use "zoom" feature with my aged eyes. i updated to ios 13.1 and it is not fixed. Hope Apple will fix the issue soon.

Thanks for the info but it’s not a fix but another workaround. I too use zoom function and to move apps I have to disable the zoom function then re–enable zoom when done. iOS could be great if Apple’s latest gimmick didn’t fall flat at the first hurdle for anyone who has zoom enabled. Appreciate your time and effort but Apple should be saying this and then fixing it.

I turned off zoom under accessibility settings and solved the issue. All of my pages of icons are messed up. Sorry I loaded the new OS. Apple I love to help you test BEFORE the new OS disrupts our phones. Let me know how to engage.

one user suggested turning off the zoom feature. It is the only thing that worked for me. Apparently there isn't a fix yet so Im afraid to turn it back on, which if frustrating because I have a visual impairment and used this feature a lot.

@satiz90hr Go into Settings - Accessibility - Turn off Zoom. Worked in my case and now I can move icons properly

Just turn off zoom. Accessbility ->Zoom. It works.

I have an Xr and all I do is press longer, there’s hardly any pressure. I ignore the menu with rearrange apps and hold longer and wait until the icons wiggle with the x in the corner.

Paul - that worked - thank you - even the Apple store didn't know what was going on - but disenabling the Zoom "three" finger in settings / accessibility worked.

Thank you SOOOOO much Paul. I disabled the ZOOM feature completely and this worked immediately on my iPhone 7. I thought I was in Update ****! The arranging of apps is the one feature I use the MOST!

You can turn zoom back on once you have moved the icon. You only need to turn it off when you want to move the icon. Upgrade the iOS to resolve this completely.

Updated to 13.3 and still no fix from Apple. Thankfully, temporarily disabling zoom in settings does the trick.

Don’t worry, you can still use Zoom. Sometimes turning Zoom back on doesn’t cause the problem to come back until the next time the phone is restarted.

At least that’s what happens with my iPhone 7. All I do to fix the problem is turn off Zoom, then go to the home screen and try moving an app icon to make sure the problem is fixed, and then go back into settings to turn on Zoom. The problem stays fixed, and Zoom works fine.

Hopefully this bug will be resolved in the next iOS update, but for now you can temporarily turn off Zoom only when you want to rearrange the app icons, and turn it back on again when you’re done. I love having my Zoom too.

Hey all, I'm posting again with an update and question. When I first read the thread, I didn't realize there were multiple pages so I missed some information the first go around. In my first post, confirm zoom was the issue as others is correct, and turning it off solves the issue for the workaround. What I am curious about though is has anyone here tried this on iPadOS? which came out today? I have an iPad Air 2, which I upgraded today, and the issue doesn't seem to be as bad on that, even with zoom enabled. I am wondering if this is an iPhone specific bug as that's what most people are reporting it on. Also, has anyone tried tried iOS 13 from a clean install, to see if this upgrade related, or if the bug exists as well in a brand new install? Thanks, just wanted to get some feedback.
