When I'm trying to delete an email out of the Mail app it looks like it is deleting, but then doesn't delete

When I'm trying to delete an email out of the Mail app (specifically a "live/Hotmail" account) in iOS 13, it looks like it is deleting, but then doesn't delete. I have to press the delete button again for it to actually delete. Anyone else having issues with this? I deleted and re-added the affected account, but it still does it.

Thanks!

Update, 13.1.1 did resolve the issue. Tested with a few more emails after my post above.

It's more than an email issue for me, but changing settings and changing them back may work for some. I fixed my ecobee app issue with iOS 13 by doing that. The issues are strange and intermittent which is probably why apple hasn't fixed it yet. I haven't posted here in a week or two, still having issues though. Decided not to go back to iOS 12.4.1. I haven't had old emails reappear fortunately, that would be a biotch. However I have had old voicemails reappear since 13.1.2. Every other day, voicemails that I delete come back as if I hadn't listened to them and I have to delete them again. These issues are annoying af

Clearly there is something going on with mail app and hotmail service and that is what our engineering department is trying to address. Hopefully the data we gathered will be enough for them to identify all those issues that you, or even other users might be experiencing.

As soon I get a reply from engineering I will get to you again.

I will keep you all posted

I am experiencing the same (Hotmail-related) problem as basically everybody else here, since I bought my iPhone11 a month ago. Having to delete emails twice, having to move them to folders multiple times, sometimes not being able to move them the second time around to the desired folder.

As of today my iPhone 11 is also sending double emails to the recipients. Yippee...!

Apple please fix this, ASAP! It is extremely annoying as I use my email account heavily.

Deleting bulk emails (say, from junk folder) WAS very simple and required one tap of the “delete all” button. It now requires 4 taps: “edit”, “select all”, “trash”, and “trash all”. Why did they need to change this?

Similarly, replying to or forwarding an email used to be a 1 step action. Now these actions are embedded in a larger “arrow” symbol from which you select either “reply” or “forward”. Again, it was not broken before, so why the “fix”?

Also, the typing interface has taken a serious decline in 2 areas: I cannot position my finger mid-word to correct a letter (there used to be a magnifying glass that popped up to facilitate this); whenever I try to paste a link into the body of an email, it keeps pulling up the keyboard and blocking the text on the screen.

so much for the upgrade!

Interesting. I’ve been using the iOS mail app with Exchange (2010 and 2016) for years almost flawlessly with iPhones from 5 to my current X model. Only when upgrading to 13 (including the most current) did the problems in this thread appear for me. How could software between releases break this bad? I mean bad!

I’ve tried every suggestion posed thus far and nothing has worked. Double delete required, messages don’t move, and slow performance overall.

Wish I had a suggestion to offer but I don’t. Just add me to the list of users waiting to get this fixed. Some of us rely on email constantly. I’ve resorted to using another mail app for now which is okay but not great.

Please Apple, hurry.

This is incredibly annoying. After iOS 13.1.3 it seemed to be fixed........for a few hours, but now the problem has returned.

I also notice that I have unread emails, click the mailbox, and THEN it downloads them. This is also crap. I want to hit the mailbox and see them, not have to wait.

Having to delete them twice is a PITA, and occasionally results in deleting another email in error.

This is my work phone and iPad both with three exchange accounts on them, two of those office365, one an on-site exchange server. Having paid lots of money for devices, having bugs like this is simply unacceptable. Three minor updates and no fix. New pointless features and a broken mail app. Well done Apple.

Apple your clearly monitoring this post as you have just deleted my post above...

sorry you found it inappropriate but whilst your here could we get some feedback/message from Apple regarding this ongoing issue.
