When I'm trying to delete an email out of the Mail app it looks like it is deleting, but then doesn't delete

When I'm trying to delete an email out of the Mail app (specifically a "live/Hotmail" account) in iOS 13, it looks like it is deleting, but then doesn't delete. I have to press the delete button again for it to actually delete. Anyone else having issues with this? I deleted and re-added the affected account, but it still does it.

Thanks!

Update, 13.1.1 did resolve the issue. Tested with a few more emails after my post above.

That's silly. It's not an activesync issue, as multiple other clients that use activesync are fine (activesync is a type of connection to an Exchange mail server - i'm not sure if these issues are limited to activesync or not as that's all i use).

And maybe bigger picture, the MS email server is not called outlook. The server product is called Exchange. Outlook has nothing to do with this. Whomever told you that doesn't know what they are talking about.

(And the funny part is that the Outlook App works perfectly fine!)

Adding my voice to the chorus on mail. Multiple issues:

  1. Have to read the mail several times before it is marked as "read."
  2. Delays in sending/receiving.
  3. Multiple copies of sent mail appearing in "Sent" folder.

Come on Apple - there are many good new features of this update, but I live and die by mail for work and this is just painful. So close to switching to Android over this. Mail is my most used feature and now I'm frustrated every time I use it.

Please fix!!!!!!

Same problem here since updating to iOS 13, so well over a month now.

Will it be fixed? Or is this it for Apple, downhill from here on..?

It is the most annoying thing to happen, and on another subject, they have totally ruined what used to be a simple, easy-to-use Health app.

Also hotmail keep sending so many of my regular emails to the junk folder, but I guess this is a hotmail issue.

Frustrated!!

This forum not to be monitored by Apple ??? If this is true Apple development/ support would be even worse than the one from Microsoft.

You are right Apple can not be responsible for something the end user does: installing IOS 13... (sarcasm). Double delete mail messages, mail body lost while forwarding or answering (need to start over several times) very annoying!

Of course, there is a lot changed in IOS 13. Almost not possible (now er days) to be bug free after such a major update. But please do not write such nonsense as Apple not monitoring this forum: the content should be a value in gold for Apple developers... So I at leaste HOPE you are wrong about this..

yes I’m included also have been trying to work with Apple but the response I was given was that there was nothing Apple could do and they would not admit fault. Yes others have said Apple are working on it, but do you believe it? I spoke to senior team again yesterday and it’s been fed back to engineering again. Surly if Apple was working on it I would of been told this.

Why? The forum exists so that users can assist other users. Apple simply provide the forum infrastructure. Ain't nobody here but us chickens

Its not up to someone in charge of the forum to liaise with Apple. It is your call at apple.com/feedback if nobody (as in this case) can guide you to a workaround.

In answer to your specific question 4, no it doesn't apply specifically to Microsoft emails because my outlook.com accounts do not have this problem. My problem is duplicate Sent items only.
