Mickey and Minnie stop talking (saying the time), the "allow watch to speak time" option disappeared

Hi, I have come across some minor watchOS 6 issues, found a couple of work around, wondered if anyone else has struck these or other issues:

  1. Mickey and Minnie stop talking (saying the time), the "allow watch to speak time" option disappeared from sound and haptics watch configuration on iPhone. Any my and my wife's mickey mouse stopped talking, eventually got them working again by restating watch and switching mute and theatre mode on and off.
  2. On activity complication its showing an incorrect move number (way inflated) - its OK on the activity circle and OK once in the activity app but whenever a number appears for move on a watch face complication its way higher.
  3. Initially none of the new watch faces were showing as options on iPhone face gallery, I found restarting the iPhone fixed that.

Further to point 3. - move number on activity compilation too large, turns out that just for compilations it was showing KJ instead of Kcal, even though health app was set to Kcal, was resolved when I set health app to kJ and then back to kcal. Health app has totally changed so needed some exploring.

Apple is not here and will not see this. You need to click on the Contact Support link at the top right of this page and contact Apple Support directly to report the issue. Since this problem is not happening with all Watches, and some of the fixes are working for some here but not for others, the only way Apple can fix it is to see what is happening with your Watch.

Oh, no! Really? I thought for sure that would fix it for everyone.

Nothing had worked for me, either, until those updates.

Wow! I'm really surprised to read this.

Get in touch with Apple if you haven't already.

If you have Apple Care+... consider getting a replacement watch.

That was an option that I was told I had if all else failed.

Do you honestly think ANY company can do enough testing that there would never be any bugs? Only if they released software say once every 10 years or so.

It is good that you contacted Apple support and gave them your information. You might also want to call back and ask for a tier 2 representative and volunteer to let them collect data from your Watch.

I suggest everyone report this to Apple support. I did the 'chat' thing online, went through all the fixes--none worked. So we scheduled a call for this morning. That person had a few new ideas plus ran a diagnostic on the watch over the phone while we talked (everything is okay, even the battery that drains kind of fast), but ultimately, Minnie is still mute. So... now I'm going to have another caucus with another tech-rep one step higher up the ladder.

But it's important that Apple knows just how many people are experiencing trouble with this. Might make it more of a debugging priority. I bet it isn't right now.
