iPhone 11 Pro getting HOT
Just received my iPhone 11 Pro and after a few minutes of light use, the back and sides heat up to where I can barely hold the phone. Any ideas?

Yes I’ve experienced the same. The phone gets really hot in the back and sides. Also - the wireless charging is really slow. An entire night of wireless charging (6+hours) took my battery from 46% to 73%. That is not good at all. Did anyone else experience the same issue ?
I have to take a day off work and make an appointment to take my phone into the Apple store to be seen by a technician. It’s very hard to try to an appointment time.
To say the phone has an some kind of alert if it gets “too hot” is not acceptable. I am a heavy user of my phone which most people are these dats, hence the reason for getting the latest and fastest iphone 11 pro max. My previous Apple phone was 8 plus and my behaviour and daily routines have not changed since upgrading from my old phone for which I did not have “hot phone” issues with.
The only thing that is different now is that the Iphone 11 pro max gets hot stays hot and after a few minutes of contact with my hands my skin on my hands start to tingle and have a burn tingling sensation, as of now the burn sensation stays In my hands after the phone use, so at this point I’m considering this “hot phone” issue also becoming a health issue.

Was anyone able to fix this issue? My iPhone 11 Pro did do overheated that it literally burns my fingers and palm of my hand. Have tingling sensation the entire day. Almost feels like it’s causing so much radiation that can lead to cancer.
will this be the demise of Apple?

I have the same uncomfortable sensation in my hands that lingers on (heat/radiatio) and concerned about health issues.
I was told by Apple Representatives that I may have too many Apps open or this is that, this issue is only with 11 pro max and not my 8 plus I used previouse to this model.
I was told to take my phone into an apple store to have it checked, at this time it’s difficult to get an appointment at the store due to pandemic.
So many people on here having the same issue raises concern.
I was having the same issue did some reading about the processor and it mentioned to much running in the background. I swiped up and cleared all my other apps that were running in the background and it cooled off within literal seconds. I hope this helps
It's not a matter of "too much" running in the background as it usually is one app that is improperly written and is stuck in a loop.
Quite often you can tell which one by going to Settings -> Battery and seeing which app has been using more battery than it should.
My iphone11 gets too hot for light use and during charging without using it it becomes too hot touch i am afraid the phone will explode is any others facing this issue
apple do address this issue because we are paying so much for ur product in the faith it will last without any issue but its very disappointing
I’ve had my iPhone 11 Pro for a few months. This has also happened to me 2 different times. Both times I was able to fix the issue immediately with lasting results by doing a hard restart. You can look it up, but it’s not too hard. You push the volume up button, then the volume down button quickly. After, immediately hold down the power button until the phone turns off on its own. Do not push the button on the screen when it asks you if you want to power off. Just wait until it turns off. This has fixed my phone both times. I believe it is the answer. Hope this helps!
How do you explain a 3 year old 8plus vintage phone performing better that the 11pro app plus????
Same apps
Same usage
Same Routine
Please stop blaming this issue on some app or apps running in the background when the iphone 11 clearly has it’s own issue.
I don’t work for Apple. I was just trying to be helpful, but obviously it wasn’t well received. I’ve had mine since April, and I’ve had to do it twice. Contact Apple directly if you want a reply from them. Here you will only get customers trying to help other customers with similar experiences.
Deceptively Apple also took away the %of battery display sign on home, which was of help with iPhone 7. They should have let us know the minute details of what has been taken away. I starting Just starting up, more functions missing perhaps.
I got my Iphone 11 Pro 3 days ago and am having the same problem. It gets super hot in the back after I use more than about 20-25 minutes. no matter if indoor or under the sunlight. Yesterday it was insanely hot. I thought it will get fire or explode.

Update to 13.6.1 update, use 5w original Apple charger that will not heat your phone during charging and minimize your use and limit your multi tasking work with not playing games you will be good to go.
