iPhone 11 Pro Max 4G LTE Signal Issue

The new iPhone 11 Pro Max loses 4G signal from time to time (every a few minutes) when the Wi-Fi is off or no valid Wi-Fi hot spot is nearby.

Wi-Fi is off: The 4G signal drops to null in a sudden, and restores to full (4 bars) in 2-3 seconds. This happens regularly.

Wi-Fi is connected: The bars are steady - stay at 4 all the time.

I have tried:

  1. Disable Auto Network Selection
  2. Reset Network Settings
  3. Reset All Settings
  4. Reset All Content and Settings

None of them shows promising improvement.

I have connectivity issues too with my 11 pro max. I live in an area with spotty connection but it’s much worse with the new phone versus my old XS Max. Upgrading to 13.1 did not help. Switched the SIM back to my old phone and it works just fine. Super frustrating.

I’m having serious connection issues as well, my wife can be right next to me with her iPhone 8 with 3 bars and mine with barely have 4g, constantly loses connection! I cycle airplane mode a dozen or more times throughout the day and that seems to help but it’s temporary. I’ve power cycled the phone, reset the network connection you name it to no avail!

Hey, you might wanna read my post above, my problem was pretty similar to yours and I haven't seen it occur after upgrading to iOS beta 13.4

Hope it helps!

The phone had no issues for a month and then in the last few days the problem has happened again. Today I was in an area where I had three bars of LTE but every app and browser reported no internet connection. Switching to airplane mode and back again did not fix. When I moved to a new location with four bars I still didn’t have any internet, but from there I switched to airplane mode and back again and now internet service is restored.

I am having a similar issue. I got brand new iphone 11 pro and the people on the other line suddenly stop hearing me. It is creating a lot of issues for me at my workplace. I used to use samsung and i never had this issue before, i just regret going to iphone. I visited apple and vodafone and no one wants to acknowledge that there is an issue. i changed to iphone thinking that i will get good support but unfortunately it is the worst experience and vodafone are refusing to trade the phone for me.

I reset the phone, i reset the phone network, i changed my sim it is really annoying.

Having Apple Care or not is irrelevant, all iPhone 11 Pro Max are still covered by regular warranty, also read different post from people in this same thread where they explain how taking the phones to Apple Service didn’t help at all, not even when they got a new replacement.

The issue is most likely firmware/software related to the “new” Intel network chipsets. Which is why I suggested updating to beta 13.4+, this is something that apparently fixed my issue (similar to yours), not something I suggested randomly out of the blue.

Of course feel free to go down the road you choose, I was merely providing yet another option.

I’m in the UK and bought a iPhone 11 Pro Max in February 2020 and since then having issues with data coverage once I am away from WiFi. Also when around WiFi I have to turn mobile data off before it connects. I contacted my service network provider and reset the network and data settings and it worked for few hours but once I got connected to the WiFi again the problem returned. My network provider said I should turn WiFi’s off when leak g the house but who wants to do that. Have to go in the phone each time and turn on and off settings. Furthermore, it doesn’t d]work either way. This time the reset doesn’t work. Seems there is a fault the new phones.

What's the next step?? This thread is really useless, with the exception of realizing there's apparently many of us with iPhone 11 pros and 11 pro maxes that have this pretty major faulty part/major malfunctioning with the phone to seize when it's away from it's connected/known WIFI and looses most of it ability to function at all for any functions that of which would require either WIFI or LTE such as phone, web browsing, etc. Apple doesn't seem to be doing anything about this, from what I can see here. Next steps suggestions? I'm brand new to Apple and this is such a problem that, I'll very highly likely not be retained as a customer for Apple and move back to Android but stuck with this phone for an other ~1.5 years. There's got to be SOMETHING we can do.

[ iPhone 11 pro w/ Verizon in US ].  Specifically, what is going on is when I'm driving or simply in areas where the iPhone detects new WiFi signals that I'm not connected to (or haven't before) which of course is very often and, THAT's when things seize often times.  There is some malfunction that absolutely IS the phone where, I'll lose all ability to do anything in safari or ANYTHING that would require LTE or WiFi.  What cures it at that extreme moment it happens is turning off WiFi, or connecting to WiFi, then, things function again.  This is most certainly a malfunction where the cell's detecting other WiFi signals disables the LTE connection, even if many or full bars.  I've run many trials that basically proves this to be the case, with a small amount of times it's not reproducible.  This most certainly absolutely is the phone and not Verizon.  I am brand new to Apple; If this isn't fixed in an iOS update, I am absolutely going to be switching back to Android.  I'm not paying this premium price for a phone that is THIS unreliable
