If you have a 3rd party charger that is certified MFi then you need to click on the Contact Support link at the top of this page and report it and give them the make/model charger you are using. I would also suggest you contact the manufacturer of the charger and inform them.

Apple charging cables do have chipsets in them and there are codes to detect those that are certified. Sometimes in an update Apple may change something in interacting with the chipset. If it is a certified 3rd party cable/charger this should not be an issue. If it is a knockoff one that stole a code from one of the certified companies it will cease to work correctly if Apple makes a change.

Must not have been a very good news source, there are over 160 MFi certified companies that sell chargers. The only one mentioned here that I've seen that is MFi and not working is the AMP. "Limiting sales to Apple and 160+ companies is not very isolating. For those companies that steal chipset designs and codes to make their chargers work a pox on their house.

What do you think?: Are we from a minority with this problem and for whom we should simply ask for a repair or if the problem is widespread? I am very worried about finding any other comments about this on the web. My manufacturer (Nomad) also mentions me that they have not received any complaints about this which is very weird...

Hello, I've a problem too charging my 44mm ceramic apple watch series 5 (v. 6.0.1) with the Nomad Apple Watch Base Station: when the watch is fully charged at 100% it starts to loop continuously. To avoid damages to the battery I must remove the watch from the base loosing the nightstand feature... somebody tried the Mophie 3 in 1? Is it working flawlessly?

The Nomad Customer Care has replied to my Apple Watch issue suggesting to swap the rubber bumper (the one where the watch sits) with a smaller one that they will send me as a replacement. Since the loop problem is present just when the watch is 100% charged I don't think that with a new smaller bumper they will be able to fix the issue! Still thinking to return the Nomad base but the bad reviews for the Mophie 3 in 1 add more confusion...

Yes. Facing the same problem in I watch 4 after updating to watch OS 6. I am using Apple Watch 2,3, and migrated to 4 two months ago. I Have one genuine Apple charger that came with the box and bought two more MFI certified ones for travel and office. All of them were working fine prior to OS update. Now only Apple genuine charger works post update. . Tried the hack of putting watch in airplane mode , then MFI charger worked. This works only when phone and watch both are on airplane mode. Hope Apple allows MFI charging as we need multiple chargers at home , office , car and travel bag.

My s4 Apple Watch charges to 100% . It continues to say charging but the battery drops while on charger doing nothing . All background app refresh is off but still gets hot even at 100 percent like it’s not communicating with charger properly so it’s charging enough to keep it warm but not enough to keep battery charged . Some days after it’s been fully charged I’ll look at it later and it can be as low as 70 percent . Using 3rd party charger dock and it’s not MFI certified but worked fine before (it’s always stopped randomly during charging then started again but always used to stay fully charged afterwards) they need to let us disable charging sounds so we don’t have to put our device on silent .
