I just upgraded to 13.1 and the size of my icons on my iPad got smaller.

You will find a new option under Settings > Display & Brightness - Home Screen Layout, More and Bigger.

Refer screenshot below for further guidance:

Go to Settings > Display & Brightness > Home Screen Layout > you have options of More (smaller sized icons on screen) and Bigger (normal sized icons on screen). Choose Bigger if you want your icons to be normal size like they were in iOS 12 before upgrading to iPadOS 13.1. Hopefully this helps you out.

It is in Settings app under Home screen and Dock. You may have to scroll down to find it!

If you are not seeing this, try a simple hard reset of your iPad for the iPad model you own since you haven't posted the model iPad you own.

Apple never removes features once they are put into place.

You cannot make the Home screens icon labels text any bigger, but you can make the app icon text Bolder in the Display Settings under Text size.

You may need to restrart your iPad to see these changes.

Apple needs to not make apps in the smaller size on my 10.5 inch iPad Pro the default for how my apps look on my home screens. I need for Apple to leave that alone and go back to the way the apps where before this iPadOS 13 app update. Apple didn't need to make its iPad users choose between More (smaller looking app icons on the screen) and Bigger (normal looking app icons on the screen) from settings > Display & Brightness > HOME SCREEN LAYOUT > More (default, smaller and harder to see app icons) or > Bigger (Normal and easier to see app icons). Apple please only have the option of Bigger (Normal and easier to see app icons) and not make the default be More (smaller and more difficult to see apps at all). This is coming from a low income adult college female diagnosed so far with autism, anxiety disorder and dyspraxia who also has 20/20 vision.

It is part of iOS 13.2, NOT iOS 13.1 .

In iOS 13.1, it is under Display settings and you have to scroll down until you see a two representations of your iPad's Home Screen and tap to activate larger Home screen layout.

Above is what Display & Brightness under Settings app should look like towards the bottom of the screen. If you aren't seeing Home Screen Layout under Display & Brightness you should either contact Apple Support or go to the nearest Apple Store to get help with this issue.

In the Settings app, look for the settings panel labeled Home Screen and Dock.

Tap that Panel and you should see two represntations of your iPad's screen. One with smaller icons and one with larger icons. ( you might have to scroll to see this ).

No, not a bug - but a feature that is documented within the iPad User Guide for iPadOS.

If you updated to iPadOS 13.4 do you not see the following: Settings > Home Screen & Dock > More or Bigger

The ability to increase the size of the labels remains - although the effect, when using the smaller icons, is now much more subtle.

Settings > Display & Brightness > Text Size - adjust the slider to the left (smaller text) or to the right (larger text) of centre (default).
