No Siri audio over bluetooth

I'm having the same problem with my iphone Xr and a Bose Soundlink II Mini speaker. It will play music but NOT Siri. I use SPEAK PAGE to listen to books on either Kindle app or iBooks and it might connect briefly to the Bose but then quickly drops . As I said, any sound that is NOT siri works fine. Siri will play fine over a cheap JBL. I am running IOS 13.2 Beta 1. Perhaps it will be fixed in next beta release.

I have experienced the exact same problem as others. Works with iOS 13.1.3 on an iPhone XS; fails with an iPhone 11 Pro and same iOS version.

It's driving me nuts and I'm glad to see it's not just me but an actual bug that can be widely repro'd.

I am having exactly the same issue. Worked fine with 8S on latest version but it's not working on 11pro on ISO 13.2. I've logged the bug report as recommended here.

There is one more thing I have noticed but I did not see anyone else report here is that when the phone is connected to the bluetooth unit in my Subaru Forester 2015 is that when someone calls me, the ring tone also has some weird echo to it. And the volume much lower than what it should be.

I am running at IOS 13.2.3 now, and have the same problem. When asking Siri a question, normally the answer would play over my car's speakers. Now, a Bluetooth in-call shows on the car's screen, but no audio is heard. Siri's answer appears on my phone's screen. I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max, and my car is a 2011 Nissan Rogue.

Siri Bluetooth audio worked fine with the initial IOS 13.0 release that came with my new phone. After the first upgrade, the above problem started.

Also, phone call, maps, etc. audio all work normally over the car's Bluetooth. It is just Siri that has the issue.

Yeah, I did log a bug report through the link and got a call from Apple here in Australia. I followed some basic troubleshooting, like renaming the device , but it didn’t fix the issue , AND, the issue is the same . You go, “Hey Siri” and instead of “ go ahead” coming through the speakers, there is nothing but a display and timer in progress on the cars dash, and the phone just flashes around. I told the Apple rep, ‘ are all iPhone 11 Pro users going to have to update their cars firmware ‘ , and he couldn’t answer. It’s definitely a fault .

I have tested the side button and i get audio feedback from siri. I also noticed that if i’m on a call and i get a second one bt gets disconnected. I have tested it also on my bt receiver which is connected to the aux but the results are the same, hello siri gives no feedback, side button gives feedback, getting a second call causes disconnect. Apple maps, google maps and sygic navigation all work, i’m getting audio feedback through the car’s system. So yeah... do a fix already.

I feel your pain! A few weeks ago I spent quite a significant amount of time on the phone with a tech over two different days gathering information for them to resolve this problem. I got the sense that it had finally found it's way to a programmers bug queue. I am hopeful that in the upcoming release(s) it will be resolved.

Updated to 13.3 but nothing is fixed. Hey siri does not work, still no feedback through car stereo. If i use the power button to call siri it works, i get feedback through car speakers. So thanks Apple...

FWIW, in my truck I use a Griffin BlueTrip device for Bluetooth audio (my truck's Bluetooth only supports phone calls). The BlueTrip is essentially a "head set" since it handles phone calls and audio, and it has this same issue. What I have not tried is to pair my iPhone with my truck's Bluetooth (for phone calls) and the BlueTrip (for audio) ... curious what that will do, if anything.\

Agreed, Apple needs to fix this ... I'm shocked that there is so little mentioned about this across the internet.

Same issue for me. iPhone 11, latest Beta (13.3.1).

I called Apple Support and got escalated (bla bla) and they said it is the car. Toyota Corolla.

If I press volume up on the phone it works, but connecting the car audio mutes the phone every time......really frustrating.....

i got the following, hey siri not giving feedback through car system and now i can’t stream music through my bluetooth adapter plugged in the aux port. Long pressing the power button to summon siri still works(it gives feedback through the car bluetooth system). What i noticed is that if i use the power button to summon siri and ask her something, the next time i use Hey Siri it works, it gives me feedback normally through the car system. I got no way of streaming music anymore though through the bt adapter in the car but i can stream music through my home system. Something is very wrong here, or is it just me?

Same problem on production iOS 13.3 and 2016 Audi A3. Very frustrating. Hoping the beta gets released soon and this is problem is resolved for good. I have not experienced the static during music playback or any of the other reported issues with my bluetooth - only the no Siri feedback when trying to summon via "Hey Siri". Also, it usually takes more than one "Hey Siri" to get the phone to respond, and when it does there is no audio output.

You may be right. I just tested it several times and it appears I need to have the audio on the system completely muted before Siri will respond to my voice or listen to my query. Very strange. I had a Galaxy S9+ prior to this phone and no such thing was required to use the Google Assistant. :(
