Since the IOS 13 update, when using WhatsApp and an external keyboard, the SHIFT key does not work. There was supposed to be a fix for this but it is still not working (after 2 more updates)
All - I have found a workaround for this problem on my iOS13 iPhone. But you will need another device (only for the first time).

It’s a workaround but once you get it running, it should last you for a while if you continue to use it, since the session on the browser doesn’t expire unless you clear your cache (I haven’t been able to confirm how those web sessions become expired)

I use the Apple Magic keyboard as well. Still having the same fault. No SHIFT key available during WhatsApp. Clearly the fix is above Apple/WhatsApp capability to remedy. Whoever is responsible for Quality Assurance at Apple and or WhatApp needs to be fired.

There was an IOS update yesterday; but Apple has still not fixed this issue.
I use a Logitech K780 and apart from WhatsApp it works perfectly
if someone with an Apple keyboard has the same issue then this is 100% on Whatsapp
I have the Magic Apple Keyboard (external) and it works with everything except WhatsApp.
After updating iOS, the shift key of my Bluetooth keyboard is not workable whilst I am using Whatsapp. Anyone can help?

I am puzzled why the actual issue is, I use the Apple Magic BT keyboard for Viber,Telegram and WhatsApp, the only app where the SHIFT key does not work is WhatsApp. Why? Also the crazy scrolling thing at Instagram is baffling. Not sure who does the beta testing at Apple but I would be more than happy to be one of them because the current testers are NOT doing their job.

Suggest we all contact WhatsApp (and then reply to their automated "It's IOS" reply) and ask them to fix this issue asap - so they know it's affecting lots of people!

Seemed to be the WhatsApp version that fixed it for me as it was still the same after the iOS upgrade.
