notifications not working ios 13.1.2

Since installing iOS 13.1.2, I do not message notifications on either my iPhone Xr or my watch. Receives are received, but no notifications. I’ve changed settings on both watch and phone, but still no notifications. Is this a known bug? Fix on the way?

I am so frustrated that Apple has not fixed this bug. My iPhone 8 does not ring or notify me when messages arrive. I have been a loyal Apple customer since the first Apple personal computer came on market, but I’ve had it! Why have a phone if it doesn’t ring!! I’ve tried all fixes AND called Apple support who drew a complete blank. Android is beckoning.

Is ANYONE from Apple going to weigh in on this? Current ALL my devices are ready for an upgrade...if this isn’t even acknowledged soon, ALL my devices will be replaced, including two AppleTV’s a MacBook Air, TimeMachine, 4 iPhones, 2 iPads, and a gen 3 watch. Seriously, I will make the change completely away from Apple. My business is driven by notifications...this is costing me money...REAL money!

In exitement without thinking I downloaded 13.1.2 on my iphone 6sPlus and now totally disappointed. I do not here any notification sound. I could get ring when somebody call me but without any voice so I diverted all my calls on to speaker but still no notification sound. I continue to receive all messages etc but without any notification sound. Contacted twice apple online support but they fail to resolve the issue and ask me to go the nearest apple service centre? Do not know why they are not removing bugs???

I was having no badge/notifications show up for Mail app (I have a Gmail address, not sure if this matters). It ended up being because “Push” was turned off. Go to Settings>Passwords and Accounts>Fetch new data> make sure “Push” is turned on. Once I did this, I now get the badge on my Mail app that shows how many new emails there are.

I have an iphone7 & I'm getting no imessage notifications, on lock screen or notification centre.

Also my phone doesn't ring if someone calls me, it just shows on my lock screen as "Notification - phone" & if I click on it shows I have a missed call. Someone left me a voicemail at the weekend & yet it hasn't come up that I had a missed call or a voicemail, the only reason I know is that they told me when they saw me!!

As others have said, this is the most basic of functions for a phone that you should be able to be called on it, or send a text! I keep checking for another software update that will fix it as I'm worried what I am missing (also waiting to hear re a job).

This has been frustrating the H E double hockey sticks out of me. One thing that I noticed in my case is that this started happening for me not after iOS 13.1.2, but after I installed Catalina. I get no Messages notifications on my iPhone X, Series 4 Watch, or 2018 12.9” iPad. I also noticed that I don’t get notifications for Messages on my iMac either. However, if I completely quit Messages on the iMac (not just close the window), my notifications start working again on ALL my devices.

My iMac has a couple servers running on it so it never sleeps. Therefore Messages is always running unless I remember to close it. I noticed notifications weren’t working again today and sure enough I had opened Messages on the iMac and didn’t close it. Closed it and problem gone.

I don’t know if this is the same problem, but if you do have a Mac running Catalina, try closing Messages and see if it helps. Catalina and iOS 13 have been the buggiest releases I can remember.

Contacted Apple Support & they said they are aware of the issue & that they have had a lot of queries for the same thing.

Advised me to do a soft & hard reset. Worked for a bit & now I don’t get notifications again.....

I asked if there was an update coming up to fix it & they said probably. Can’t come soon enough! People can’t be having to reset their phones over & over. Come on Apple!

13.1.3 is a useless upgrade. My phone STILL does not ring when calls come in and I’m getting no text alerts. I know so many people who are completely fed up with this lack of service, some of them having lost a lot of business because of it. I think Apple has had its day. My friend’s new iPad randomly quit working and Apple could not/would not repair it but offered to SELL her a new one at a reduced price. What’s the matter with us?! Why are we putting up with all this?! After 35 years with Apple, I’m switching!

13.1.3 has not fixed the issue for me...at least not totally. No clue of a pattern...I’m getting SOME notifications, but not others. Even random witching the same people...so no consistency’s between iOS or Android etc. same guy will text me and I’ll get some, but not others.

im VERY close to making a clean break from Apple and switch to Android

My 11 and 11 pro max stopped notifications yesterday afternoon. I noticed on both phones mid- day yesterday I had to put in my unlock code, even though I was just using them. Is it possible Apple is pushing “micro” updates we don’t know about that in this case broke notifications? Update to 13.1.3 did nothing for me. Re-entering the unlock code is required only , assuming you are using bio unlock, is after a power on, restart, or 3 days of no use. This is what leads me to believe Apple is pushing small updates, but leaving major, minor, version numbers alone and not showing build numbers.

Apple, stop all other development and put all programmers on fixing the very major bug.
