notifications not working ios 13.1.2

Since installing iOS 13.1.2, I do not message notifications on either my iPhone Xr or my watch. Receives are received, but no notifications. I’ve changed settings on both watch and phone, but still no notifications. Is this a known bug? Fix on the way?

This reset worked for me as well (iPhone XS) - I was intermittently not receiving alerts for both iMessages and text messages for several months. The message would be there when I looked at my lock screen but never made a sound or vibration to alert me. What siamless typed (Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings) is the only fix that seemed to solve the problem (has worked for last 2 months).

This is what "Reset All Settings" does:

-Resets all of your device's settings like Wallpaper, Sounds, Display & Brightness, Background App Refresh, Date & Time, and more.

-Resets Wi-Fi credentials in all iCloud Keychain devices that use the Apple ID if iCloud Keychain is turned on.

-Removes all of your previously used Wi-Fi networks and passwords

-Removes your Apple Pay cards.

-Deregisters your device from iMessage and FaceTime

-Removes your Touch ID & Passcode

-If restrictions are turned on, it resets all of your restrictions.

-Removes Face ID

-Resets accessibility settings

-It removes your encrypted backup password

I have a Xs Max and iOS 13.1.3 does not fix this issue.

I look after my Father and he has COPD and while I'm in the other room, whenever he needs something he texts me or calls me. When I have to step away to do something in the backyard or go to the restroom and come back to the room where my phone is, a notification has gone off but I have it set to repeat notifications 4 times and I don't get any of the others. If my father has texted me I wouldn't know unless I look at the phone. This kind of defeats the purpose of notifications.

It's not very convenient to take my phone with me everywhere I go and it's set up on an Apple iDock.

Please Apple get this fixed, for medical reasons I need this to work correctly.

Similar issue! i dont get whatsapp messages until i launch the app. So a single grey tick is shown on the senders screen. Basically once i’m not on the whatsapp screen my connection falls. I’ve checked background app refresh settings and its still on. Notifications are enabled. I also did the ios 13.2 update and the whatsapp appstore update but no luck. Its so frustrating and i cant believe they still haven’t resolved it in weeks! Whatsapp are insisting its not about an issue on their side... didnt even bother contacting apple since i’m sure they must be aware of it by now!

Hello street glide,

Could you say which iPhone please, as different iPhones seem to be having different problems. Newer phones seem to be worse and did this fix 3rd party apps as well for you in Beta, or just apple apps.

After the second update all my apple apps work normally on iPhone 7, but 3rd party such as WhatsApp, messenger and Facebook still no notifications even with 13.3.2.3. actually that’s not strictly true. Occasional I will suddenly get a notification for WhatsApp. Only to see that the message was sent over an hour ago.

Am nervous of trying the Beta incase things get worse.

iPhone 7.

13.3 hasn’t fixed it for me either. Apple apps work fine but WhatsApp, facebook and messenger ..... no notifications. With WhatsApp sometimes I get a notifications hours after the message has been sent. Didn’t help when my boss sends me a WhatsApp changing the time I start work that night.

whatsapp has updated recently too, so who is not finding and solving this problem, Apple or facebook who now owns WhatsApp.

cant believe I am also considering changing from Apple. Have been a staunch supporter of Apple Mac for years. “Once you go Mac you never go back”. But now I am not so sure anymore. Error and bugs happen, but this has been going on since September. Come on apple help us for goodness sake. It looks like you are not even recognising this problem as I don’t see mention of it anywhere (not even in bug fixes) except here.

Possibly just you. I think the latest update or the one before caused this problem for me. Up to about 7-10 days ago I was getting audio and banner notifications on all texts. Now I still get banner notifications on all texts but audio on some and not others. Until I found this thread I thought it was something I w3as doing wrong. Now I guess I will have to wait until Apple fixes it.

I am having the same issue with my iPhone 7 Plus. Do not receive any Push Notifications since the update to iOS 13.1.2.

Additionally iMessage and FaceTime do not work after the update. iMessage and FaceTime status is "Waiting for activation..." for 4 days (since the update)... Tried toggling iMessage and Facetime On/Off, removing SIM Card, Restarting iPhone - nothing has helped so far...

Don't know if this is related but at the moment of updating I was roaming and not using the home carrier.
