Is anyone experiencing feedback/crackling sounds when making FaceTime, WhatsApp, or regular calls on iPhone 11 Pro? if so, what is the fix?
I have been to the Apple store in Amsterdam 3 days ago. They tested the phone and it appeared that 1 of the receivers was broken. Therefore they replaced the entire screen (which includes the receivers nowadays). Took 1,5 hour and everything works fine again.
I have the same issue ...iphone 11 pro max .... very loud and annoying on calls , whats app etc....not all the time ...but too often on a phone thats a month old

I'm experiencing the same issue on the iPhone 11... Also when playing music on the iPhone. Looks like both speakers are having troubles
I cannot say that it is interference from other devices since it occurs almost everywhere. When I connect to a an external speaker the crackling seems to disappear for that moment...
As of about 1 month ago all crackling has stopped. I did not do anything other then mess with my bluetooth. I don't have that on because I don't really use it.
We should all bring it up to Apple.
too expensive phones to have issues like these.
It’s not a speaker issue here but distortion when using Apple maps or Waze.
I contacted Verizon and a service rep helped me fix mine.
I don’t think we are on the same page. It’s not only phone calls but any app like Waze and Apple maps make Breaking out or distortion noise.
It’s the software or the intel modem used on these devices. Intel is inferior than snapdragon so if software can fix it we are lucky. I am still having the issue as well.
I have the same issue. Mine is just 2 weeks old. I usually experience this intermittently while using music apps (on phone speaker or even in my car via bluetooth) and oh, in video calls! =( . Hopefully there's a 'FIX' on this because it's annoying.
I experience cracking noises when I am on FaceTime with somebody and I type at the same time on my iPhone 11 Pro. It’s almost like the phone is struggling to decipher between typing sounds phone call speaker sounds.

I totally agree. I updated to iOS13.2 with the hope that this would have resolved the issue but to no avail. The Apple Store could not find a hardware issue with my phone so at the time I got the impression that it was a software issue. However if that is the case it has not yet been resolved by Apple which is unfortunate. I am hoping that we will hear something official from Apple soon.
It sounds like old static you would hear over a walkie-talkie. I returned my iPhone 11 Pro to my provider. They exchanged it for a new one out of the box. The problem persists. Both I and the caller on the other end hear the static. At times it is so present that we cannot hear one another. I only make regular cellular calls. This needs to be fixed. It’s not just an annoyance. It makes conversing on the phone impossible.
I am experiencing these crackling sounds on my iPhone 11 Pro when I make regular phone calls. It is the same issue that was on the iPhone 8 when it came out a couple years ago, then Apple released a software update that fixed it. I hope someone from Apple can give us feedback on where they currently stand on this issue.
