mac wont wake from sleep after Catalina upgrade
Upgraded to Catalina several hours ago. iMac has gone to "sleep" 4 times and each time failed to "wake". Had to do "hard reboot". Anyone else?

Same here. After update to Catalina my Mac will not wake from sleep following inactivity or forced sleep. Ran first aid with no problems detected, and energy saver settings are set to default. Not good.
MB Pro Retina Early 2013.
I have had this problem on my 2018 Macbook Air since Mojave. So frustrating. Nothing works.
I still have the problems after doing this. I have noticed that if you log off, it will wake up if that helps anyone. but when is this going to be fixed???

Have you updated to macOS Catalina 10.15.1 ?
You may read about it here if you wish: https://eclecticlight.co/2019/10/29/catalina-10-15-1-is-now-available/
It's worked for me! 😉
Yes me too, this makes me insane. After reboot, all my current files i was working on are labeled 'recovered'. What a mess!
I updated to 10.15.1 and it seems to work
With 10.15.1 i get the same exactly problem. Nothing change.
Got the same thing again today after doing the 10.15.1 update. So mad.
Me too, now I have two displays that won't work at all......... I am so upset with this, this is a lot of work.
I did the workaround and just had the same issue. Sorry.
I’ve done the update and mine seems to working fin now. Have you tried?
I tried the Opt+Command+p+r and it does not work.
If Apple spent half the money did photoshopping the image of Catalina from a fancy helicopter, we would have a functioning OS that didn’t hold MacBooks hostage in perma-sleep.
