mac wont wake from sleep after Catalina upgrade

There are many people who make this suggestion, but I have this problem EVEN with a CLEAN INSTALLATION!!!!!

My issue got fixed after applying the lates update for Catalina. 10.15.1

On settings, go to security and disable the requirement for password on waking. This assumes that you have your Mac in a secure and private place.

All- I have had enough and have decommissioned catalina. Now using Mojave...so much better

Has there been a solution to this? I have tried NVRAM, SMC, and safe boot but the problem persist. Thanks.

I also removed Dropbox from the startup and the memory. Now I don’t have this problem any more. Dropbox must do something for this. Thanks for the tip.

"safe mode" fix worked for me. Also seems less sluggish after upgrade to Catalina. Have never used safe mode on a mac.

Type in terminal:

sudo pmset - a hibernatemode 25

my iMac did not wake up but rebooted after sleeping! It solved my, hope it will solve yours.

check your 3rd party apps loaded to the memory and close all of them next time before your MB goes to sleep. If it wakes up flawlessly you will know who’s to blame

Forget about sleep mode, you will not solve it forever, switch back to authentic Apple blade!
