Upgraded to Catalina several hours ago. iMac has gone to "sleep" 4 times and each time failed to "wake". Had to do "hard reboot". Anyone else?

I contacted J5 create customer service and they said they had a work around until new driver is updated:
It worked for me:

Hello Debbie
Before installing the latest driver software, it will require that we uninstall any currently installed j5create device driver first.
Please uninstall the driver software for the j5create USB adapter by doing the following:
1. Click on the desktop background
2. In the upper left-corner of the display, locate and select "Go" then select "Computer".
3. Select "Macintosh HD".
4. Select "Library".
5. Select "Extensions".
6. Find the following: "AX88179_178a", "MCT_trigger2.kext", "Trigger5Core.kext", "DJTVirtualDisplayDriver", "MCTTrigger6USB" and/or "MCTTriggerGraphics.plugin.
7. If any of these files exist, drag each of them to the trashcan.
After completing the uninstall process, proceed with the following:
Immediately after installing the device driver, please do the following:
Finally, after the computer has fully rebooted, plug the display adapter into a USB port directly on the computer, then connect the video cable into the video OUT port on the j5create adapter and into the video IN port on the display. Power on the display and ensure that the display is on the correct input mode, i.e. on VGA, HDMI, DVI. From here, on the connected display, you should see the desktop background and the display should now be ready to use.
However, if the display does not activate after everything has been connected, I recommend that you do the following:
Please be aware, If you are running the official release of macOS 10.15, we do not guarantee that this driver will allow for optimal functionality of j5create USB display adapter on your system. However, the driver being provided has been tested with the official macOS 10.15 Catalina release and we can confirm that the driver should allow for moderate functionality of the j5create device on macOS 10.15. Depending on your system specifications, you may experience general bugs. General bugs/glitches are to be expected with the beta driver, however we welcome all feedback!
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns regarding to this matter!

I have a mac book pro mid 2014 and this worked for me.
http://osxdaily.com/2017/04/02/fix-black-screen-wake-sleep-mac/
I did step 3, and it didn't work at first. I came into work this morning to start step 4, and it seams to be working without doing step 4.
Chris, I have looked for the trigger.kext files that everyone had success with, but I did not have any of them. Other .kext files are present, but I have no idea what they are so I do not want to remove them. My only temp solution so far is to uncheck the "require password after sleep or screen saver begins". when unchecked it wakes from sleep, but not having a lock screen is not ideal.
After a week of messing around with clearing boot options for SMC, and searching threads, I finally fix it. My Macbook Air 2014 would go to sleep (after the Catalina 10.15 install), and not wake up.
I fixed it by removing an old Citrix Receiver program and drivers from my mac. This Citrix receiver was garbage from an old 2015 program I would use for screen sharing. I tried to manually delete the app many years ago by going to Applications and moving to Trash, but this did not clean up all the other drivers and programs associated with it.
So I had to do a search in finder with specific Kind = System files and name = Citrix, then deleted all the files, and bingo, worked. I've tested many time now and I can't believe I F'ing fixed this. I can't tell you how much time I lost with the sleep mode not working. I was ready to go back to my Windows Thinkpad.
So, my understanding is there are many folks running into this issue, and it's most likely old 32 bit programs or corrupted programs. The trick is figuring out which ones. I was lucky to think of Citrix because the icon was loading in the toolbar, so I knew there was garbage out there that needed to be cleaned up.
My last resort was to do a fresh install of Catalina, which I might do when I have a few hours to spare.
I am still nowhere with this update, I have screens that don't work now, and I have to restart my computer everytime i use it.
When will this be solved MAC???????
BTW how don't you have a power button? what is that?
Using a MBP Retina 15 Mid 2014. Tried both NVRAM and SMC resets to no avail. Using Safe mode worked as long as logged into Safe Mode. Once restarted in Normal mode, the issue returned...black screen when attempting to awake from sleep.
Please fix this issue Apple. I'm tied of hard-resetting my Mac just to regain access.
I found this response on another site. I've made these changes and it looks like it resolved the issue for me as well. Going to let it sleep for an extended period - but first few tests seem promising.

Edit: Issue is resolved. Apple engineering removed 3 extensions from /Library/Extensions then reset NVRAM
Trigger5Core.kext
MCTTrigger6USB.kext
MCTTriggerGraphics.plugin
I've decided I'm just going to downgrade to Mojave. No longer worth the headaches and wasted time.
NOTE: If you do decide to downgrade, you can't restore a time machine backup made in Catalina in a lower OS (i.e. Mojave). So you need to backup your files in some other fashion BEFORE downgrading.
This keeps happening to me...call support they did a reset..(shift/control/option + power button 10 sec hold then power button)...testes sleep option and it woke up...but this was no my problem...it goes to sleep after not using for a few minutes when I shake mouse...the computer is on but my screen is black...I have to turn off to restart....did you do the NVRAM reset?
I have similar issue with MacBook Pro 13" 2017 model. It was all working fine and while at work, I went on a break for an hour and when came back it was like dead. It was not responding any keypress and I tried everything I could. Next day I brought it to Mac repair Center (Dr. Mac in Chandigarh), they reconnected the battery and it started just fine. They said not to put it in sleep mode for long but same day on work it went in sleep and after 10 seconds I tried to wake it up but i was late so it was dead again. I called the repair center and asked them what they did to fix it since I was not in the situation to bring it back to them. They said to reconnect the battery.
I opened the bottom panel and reconnected the battery, it started normally. I turned off sleep mode on battery or power adapter. I am currently running macOS 10.15.2 and no idea if it's a hardware or software issue. I am hoping it's just a macOS glitch and apple will fix it.
It did not get fixed until 10.15.4. With great trepidation, but nothing to lose, I udpated to 10.15.4 and finally my iMAC will wake up and the apps will open. It has only been three days, but these are the only days in many months that I have not had to shut down or do a hard restart to wake it up.
I tried both suggestions on this thread. Neither worked. Any other options people've used?
Tried both suggestions and neither worked for me either.
Safe mode trick didn't work either for me.
Has anyone wiped and did a fresh install of Catalina and have it work? That's my next step, if that doesnt work I'm going back to Mojave. Ugh, this is so frustrating!
I'm going to give it a go and if it doesn't work, fresh install of mojave. There is a thread on reddit as well and they are reporting that a wipe and fresh install of catalina has totally fixed it.
