OS X Catalina - Dock has disappeared
Just updated to Catalina with my iMac Pro 2017 & the dock has disappeared this morning. It was here last night after the update but nothing today.
It won't show again - anybody experiencing this too ?

My dock also disappeared after reseting my PRAM, because my external Apple keyboard did not recognize cmd-button after Catalina upgrade.
This is how I got it(the Dock) back:
Same issue, rebooted after changing my wallpaper to static from dynamic. Dock is back.
Yes I am experiencing exactly the same problem. I reinstalled the new OS and it came back, but this morning after a reboot it is gone again.
Terminal -> defaults delete com.apple.dock; killall Dock
works fine for me
Exactly same here seems there is a bug yet Apple say there is no problem Hmmmm. Have reverted my iMac back to Mojave will wait a month and hope they fix it.
Really bad software flaws. Did the kill all got the dock back but all my customizations gone. Horrible that the most basic thing is broken.
Should also add that, now I have made it reappear by swiping up the problem seems to have been resolved. I now move the cursor to the bottom of the screen and the dock appears as normally.
Yes, I went into System Preferences and Dock, adjusted the size and clicked on the slide and my Dock reappeared. It seems I have to do it whenever I turn my machine back on but it works.
I have this problem too. To me it happens just after booting up. Logging out and logging in solves the problem until next boot.
Here is what worked for me:
- System Preferences, Dock
- Unchecked auto-hide field
- Restarted with all windows open
I hope it works with you too ...
Try Option+Command+D & On. It worked.
Don’t call that phone number. It’s a scam.
Thanks! Great solution. Solved the issue for me.
This solution worked for me! MacBook Pro, Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013
You're a life saver!
Try restart with Option+Command+D. It worked for my Mac Air.
