Just updated to Catalina with my iMac Pro 2017 & the dock has disappeared this morning. It was here last night after the update but nothing today.
It won't show again - anybody experiencing this too ?
My dock also disappeared after reseting my PRAM, because my external Apple keyboard did not recognize cmd-button after Catalina upgrade.
This is how I got it(the Dock) back:
Oh shoot, you are right, my bad! I have been dealing with a number of bugs that seems pretty silly to be dealing with for a public release. That is wired and upsetting indeed.
Uh Catalina isn’t beta guy. Lol
Well, here’s what fixed it for me.
I had a widget of Juice app ( The missing Bluetooth manager for macOS) on the Notification Centre. After I removed it, everything works as it should.
This is exactly what is happening to me (the "auto hide" box checks again automatically). Looks like a bug.
dock has disappeared after OS X Catalina
The dock has disappeared on my MacBook Pro with the new installation of Catalina.
Apple needs to fix this bug.
Yeah, if I log out and then log back in - the dock comes back.

I am having this problem on my macbook pro, when the screen goes to sleep I have to reboot to get the doc back.
Agree. Tampered with Mail also. Awful changes where not necessary

This is not a solution. I unplug my second monitor and reboot. The dock shows up. Then when I reboot, it disappears again. It's driving me nuts.
Upgraded to latest 10.15 and this has solved the problem 👍🏻
