Hi, either when i call some one or some one call me when i am using spekear if it not iphone the other person hear there self, if bith person have iphone 11 which is my case both hear themself with the echo... How to fix???

At first I thought it was the case because it had no holes at the bottom, so it was covering the speaker and mic, but even without it there would be an echo. So I took my phone during the week of purchase to T-Mobile and the manager was not helpful at all. He kept telling me it’s normal, it happens sometimes, it’s a network problem, the phone is not defective. But he told me my only options were to send it to Apple or Get a different one with my insurance. He didn’t even try to help, nor touched my phone at all!
The closest Apple store to my town is 2 hrs away, so I took it to the Geek Squad at Best Buy instead. They checked my phone and even though I saw the screen showed “issues found” they said the phone was working properly, but they could send it out to Apple to have it checked and it would take about a week. I work from my phone, so I can’t afford to be without it for a week. It was very frustrating because until this day, there is no solution to this problem online.
I finally visited an Apple Store and thank God the associate knew what he was doing! He took my phone for a few minutes, came back and told me there were no problems with the device, but he had me reset my network settings. IT FIXED THE ISSUE! I can’t believe it was that simple and no one could help me before. I almost purchased a new phone.
It has been months since that day and just a few days ago the echo came back, but it went away by resetting the network settings again.
Before you waste more money on another phone or your time waiting for them to fix your phone, TRY RESETTING YOUR NETWORK SETTINGS.

And I agree, a $1000 device should function at its highest capability, given the uncertainty we are all facing right now dealing with the pandemic of Covid 19. Remote connectivity with a crisp and clear connection (even on speakerphone) are more important than ever.

I have an iphone11 pro and I have started to hear myself echo on calls. It doesn't matter if I am using air pods, on speaker or holding it like a regular phone. The person on the other end does not hear it. I'm running IOS13.3.1. It does it with or without the case. Any suggestions.
Same here. I’ve updated and also sent my phone back to Apple. They returned it to me claiming they found nothing wrong! It stills seems to have issues with speaker & hands free. Idk. I’m so frustrated. I’ve had to purchase another phone as I cannot be without my phone for business. Over this!!
I just bought the same phone , and it has the same problem. It is so annoying, I’m not able to use the speaker because people on the other side won’t be able to hear me clearly. Apple should fix the problem, we didn’t spend money to get issues as a gift.
Yep! That is what they did to me as well. I sent it back. They said they found nothing wrong. Sent it back to me snd it’s still messed you! Brand new phone. Useless! I’m a huge Apple fan. This is very disappointing!!
Wow. cdp1030, we can't believe it, but yes - that fix is working, at least so far. Cannot thank you enough, this has been a torment. Fingers crossed the solution will last.
Obviously it's a limitation not to be able to access other apps while using the speakerphone, and will require a fix. But it beats having the person one is on the phone with hear every word they speak from their end echoing back to them at top volume.
I’ve followed this thread for six months. I’ve been to the Apple store. I’ve done every update. I’ve tried without case. I’m so disappointed in the lack of response. This will weigh heavily in my choice of future devices and platforms. I’m 100% Apple products now. For the first time in more than 10+ years I’m considering migrating all my devices, services etc. to another platform.
tried~ failed ~ with case wihouy case tried ~ echo still happen~ noise cancellation yup still echo~ ....,every time I call thru facetime or WhatsApp video call it happen again. Hope it really can be fix
Thanks, Alevillasenor, thanks so much for this information, you're the second person that I've read to post this suggestion, and my apologies to the folks on this thread for forgetting to include this as a technique that had been mentioned with successful results earlier when I tried to post an informal "summary" - it just slipped my mind.
We are trying this out on a number of 11s but as I'm not the owner (rather the one who hears the echo) I can't test it out. I'll postresults on this thread once I find out.
When I go to General, reset than network it say it will reset all to factory , will I need to call the cellular company and have them start me or? Will I need rest all passwords ? What really happens ?
Karen you will have to put in all the passwords for whatever WiFi you have stored on your phone. That’s it. It basically refreshes the internet connections to your phone. And you won’t have to call your carrier to do it. Your phone will restart. Once it has restarted you will have to connect to your WiFi and put in the password.
I am on my 3rd IPhone 11 all phones had the same speaker issue. I do not get an echo but my phone cuts out.
Only when I use the speaker phone, my voice cuts in and out ~ the other person is only able to hear every few words.
Although I use one, it is not the Otter box. I tried the phone without the case and it is still happening.

I have tried two different ear pods, different cases, no case, wired earbuds... when it has the echo I can make it go away. I have to end my call. Even if
im working.. AND now it over heated plugged in in the exact place I always plug it in. It was indoors, not exposed to sun or heat, now what was a great battery drains quickly. AT&T said I need to go to the apple store to replace. But a COVID it’s always crowded even with an appointment I’m not comfortable! I’m telling you this is maddening!!!! Apple is ******* me off
This issue is so frustrating. I purchased this phone several months ago. I was having the same “speaker phone” issue. I called support and after several calls and a couple HOURS they decided to send me a new phone. Since I have no landline I needed phone expedited...had to pay a fee to get a replacement in fewer than 7-10 days. Now have a new phone WITH THE SAME ISSUE. I use my phone for work and it is a huge inconvenience to have to hold my phone and type at the same time. For the money these phones cost you would think the basic features (that every cell phone has had since the beginning of cell phones) would work.
