Echo on speaker calls iphone 11

I am so surprised that I googled for this speaker phone echo problem and I found this post. After buying such an expensive phone I am so unhappy to experience speaker phone echo issues on the call :-(

Going to exchange the phone.This must be a hardware issue that hasn’t been fixed yet.getting tired of hearing my voice reverb back to me every time I say something.My conversation or a word or two repeats when I stop talking.Lasts a couple of seconds along with distortion in the conversation on speaker.

I, too, am having this issue but it only just started happening. I have tried changing cases, even though I am using the same case as I was when I got the phone and didn’t have the problem. That didn’t fix it, I have tried rebooting the phone, taking it off and putting it back on speaker, and it didn’t fix it. Please fix this problem as this was a very expensive phone.

I bought myself & my parents each iphone 11 pro max and they have the exact same echo problem in speaker mode. Apple, when are you going to acknowledge the problem and provide a resolution? Apple care support is of no help on this issue to date.

Fix this, Apple.

I dropped $3,000 on these phones and to have this echo issue is absurd.

I’m having the same issue. Whoever I call complains that they have a horrible echo but I don’t hear it. I’ve tried it with my case on and off. Nothing worked. It’s been like this since day 1 of activation, but I needed a new phone. I did the latest update and I still have the issue. Did anyone find a solution?

Still no solution. I keep watching what Apple is noting in their ios releases but have yet to see anything come out that addresses the echo. Fortunately, I have a warranty...giving Apple some time to address but I will be having my phone replaced after the first of the year if the situation isn't remediated. Really feeling like I bought a "cheap" phone.

Bought 4 IPhone 11’s same issue with the echo with and without case and with speaker or not with speaker all 4 phones have same issue. This is UNACCEPTABLE! Apple knows of this issue and should offer full refunds ! How can one conduct their business with this constant echoing. Please fix immediately or offer full refund for this defective product.

I’m getting ready to return both an iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max because they both suffer from extreme call quality issues when on speakerphone. People either can’t hear you at all or you can’t hear them, or there’s an extreme echo on the other person’s end. As soon as the call is taken off of speakerphone the issues go away. This is either a terrible design flaw with the phone or something majorly wrong with the software. This has been going on for months apparently, and Apple has failed to address the problem. This one post has over 400 responses from people saying they’re also experiencing the issue. I didn’t have this problem on my XS Max or X. The phones are nearly identical so I don’t know what APPLE could have changed so substantially to cause this issue.

my other complaint is with the cameras. The wide angle lens is horribly grainy and all 3 lenses suffer from insane lens flare in any well lit areas. This phone seems to be loaded with problems.

It's not a design flaw with the phone if cases exacerbate the issue.

I just got my iPhone 11 Pro Max and speaker calls are horrible if the other person doesn’t have an iPhone also. NOT a case issue. I even waited for the latest update to see if it would fix the problem, but no. Apple needs to fix it through an update or issue a recall.

I’ve been having this problem too lately. Everybody on the receiving end literally gets angry at this point so I can’t use speakerphone anymore whether the case is on or not. This needs to be fixed as soon as possible. I spent a lot of money on this phone Not to mention apple care plus

Echo on speaker is so annoying at times I had to ask the caller to call me back and they are using the identical phone.

ongoing since day 1 did all the recommended fixes. Removing the case completely doesn’t make a bit of difference.When you pay this much for a phone you should get your money’s and at this rate Apple owes me.

At first I thought this was not really my issue exactly when I saw the post that it was “Solved”, but soon realized this is a much larger issue when the thread is 6 pages deep and growing. I can reproduce this 100% of the time and was having to call back on my work iPhone 8 initially until I troubleshooted a bit and discovered that it only happens when on Speaker. There is nothing better than telling everyone that they are wrong and it’s their problem, but instead figuring out that it was you all along. The whole case thing is also laughable since I run case-less on my current 11 Pro Max and it sounds like a typical Tier 1 support answer.

This issue needs more attention and needs to be escalated and resolved.

I submitted feedback, but I am aware that Apple is mostly shut down until January 2nd, so don't expect any response til sometime after that. I will consider going into Genius Bar near Cupertino just to see what they say in early January.

Thanks a lot! Please let us know if they have any response. I went into a Genius Bar recently and they didn’t acknowledge any idea of a problem! However, I didn’t wait the 90 minutes for any kind of diagnostic because we all know it wouldn’t have found any problem.
