At first I thought it was the case because it had no holes at the bottom, so it was covering the speaker and mic, but even without it there would be an echo. So I took my phone during the week of purchase to T-Mobile and the manager was not helpful at all. He kept telling me it’s normal, it happens sometimes, it’s a network problem, the phone is not defective. But he told me my only options were to send it to Apple or Get a different one with my insurance. He didn’t even try to help, nor touched my phone at all!

The closest Apple store to my town is 2 hrs away, so I took it to the Geek Squad at Best Buy instead. They checked my phone and even though I saw the screen showed “issues found” they said the phone was working properly, but they could send it out to Apple to have it checked and it would take about a week. I work from my phone, so I can’t afford to be without it for a week. It was very frustrating because until this day, there is no solution to this problem online.

I finally visited an Apple Store and thank God the associate knew what he was doing! He took my phone for a few minutes, came back and told me there were no problems with the device, but he had me reset my network settings. IT FIXED THE ISSUE! I can’t believe it was that simple and no one could help me before. I almost purchased a new phone.

It has been months since that day and just a few days ago the echo came back, but it went away by resetting the network settings again.

Before you waste more money on another phone or your time waiting for them to fix your phone, TRY RESETTING YOUR NETWORK SETTINGS.

No it’s not true even without case the issue exists. Try to place you hands near speakers or keep phone in vertical position near to any surface. The feedback is heard by the caller to your phone - it’s iPhone 11 design issue I guess. Very soon people will realize this issue because the issue is. It easily known by iPhone 11 holders until the callers keep complaining and the problem can only be replicated when we keep the phone on speaker - cases will worsen the issue without case you can still hear echo.

Apple please correct this major flaw!!

Yes!! You are correct. I have same issue, every person I called told me that they hear their voice back. I went to apple store and they are saying there is no problem after diagnosis. It is a manufactured problem. Mic is picking the other callers voice. I never had this problem with my previous apple phones,

Apple please correct this issue!!!!

I also have the same problem with 11 pro. I can hear my voice echo when i’m talking in a video call with someone and also on speaker. My husband has the same 11 pro but not the echo problem. And also both have the same cases so i don’t think this is from the case or software. I think it’s a hardware problem. A lot of money paid on this iphone and it already has problems...

Just so all of you know, I'n not posting this out of spite, but rather to provide knowledge for people that spend their hard-earned money for a reputable product.

I have had multiple issues with my iPhone 11 Pro (can't say anything for iPhone 11 model) - and I have had parts replaced AND had the phone replaced. Some issues are as follows (Likely manufacturing problems that Apple can not circumvent):

  • Intense Lens Flaring - It's not just you. It is most models of iPhone 11 Pro. In low-light and regular lighting conditions you will have "ghost" images that appear on your screen (and get captured in photos) when a light of medium-high intensity is in the frame. You cannot do anything about it. Apple will not help you on this issue. I've tried.
  • Speaker phone feedback - You will not hear a difference in you phone calls with friends and family when on a speaker call. They will. Every user on all models of my iPhone 11 Pros have heard themselves speaking (feedback) to the point they lose concentration and have to start a new call

I'm hoping that someone can make us feel like we put our money in the right place. But no one has been able to. I love my Apple products when they are functioning as expected.

I don't believe this is case related. When I call someone and my phone is on speaker phone the other person hears an echo and what sounds like feedback. It also happens with FaceTime.

On my phone I shut off noise cancelation (in the accessibility settings) which seemed to mitigate the issue a bit, but people still hear an echo when

I call.

I don't have an iPhone 11 so this is a long shot at finding an answer. As it seems that the most probable causes have been explored by this forum I was just wondering if anyone had tried taking their phone to another provider vendors place of business and have them try a call from your phone with their chip installed. It seems like there might be something incompatible with the service and it might not help or hinder your cause to try another provider to see if anything improves. Just saying.
