image capture error message 21355

I was using Image Capture to import photos and movies from my phone to my computer when it seems to have stopped working. The images went away and I thought it was because my phone screen locked, but when I unlocked it and tried Image Capture again, it gave me an error message that says the operation couldn't be completed. com.apple.ImageCaptureCore error -21355. Any ideas of what is going on and how to fix it? I did some searching but haven't come across anything yet that helps me with this.

Since you're still having some trouble with importing your pictures, I would recommend trying the following steps next. Try them in order, testing between each:

Quit Image Capture: Quit apps on Mac - Apple Support and restart your Mac: How to turn your Mac on or off - Apple Support. Then open Image Capture while holding the shift key on your keyboard.
See if you can import your pictures in safe mode: Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support.
See if the pictures will import in a new, test user: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac - Apple Support.

These steps will help us determine whether the issue is with Image Capture, your specific user account, or macOS as a whole.
