Anyone not receiving in app purchase receipts from Apple?

I get the confirmation email of purchase but although the email address is correct I don’t receive the receipt by email after several days. I know I can look at purchase history. However I need the receipts.

I know the email address in Apple ID is correct and I used to receive them but they have stopped. There is nothing in spam or junk. My ISP has not blacklisted the address. I do receive the confirmation of purchase from iTunes after the purchase but not the receipt.

I have spoken to support and they even looked at things remotely. They are still investigating.

Does anyone have this problem?

I have the same problem since October 2019.

Try this on iPhone:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap your name, then tap iTunes & App Store.
  3. Tap your Apple ID, then tap View Apple ID. You might be asked to sign in.
  4. Scroll to Purchase History and tap it.

Finally tap RESEND

Worked for me with Gmail.

So glad I found this thread! I found out yesterday that my son ranked up almost $400 in in-app purchases, since the end of November. I NEVER got a receipt on my g-mail for those purchases, that's why I was clueless. I contacted support and she insisted that the receipts were sent, and game me the same run around (check your spam... ). I use G-mail, I've always gotten receipts. My last receipt dates October 17th (today is December 10th). I told her I did a search, checked SPAM and there were NO receipts. She insisted someone must have gotten into my account and deleted them. Had I have gotten the first receipt, I would be aware of what was going on. More over, he was able to do that using HIS fingerprint on MY account (?!?). He is 7 years old. I got "Subscription Confirmations" but NO receipts.

I had forgotten to mention earlier, that. I still get the security alerts from Apple. I had to login to the iCloud site, and received the typical security alert. Just mentioning this to say, not all email from apple is broken as a whole. only the iTunes stuff. I just thought it was a good confirmation, in case all apple email was broken, or having issues with mail providers. It's not.

I too, had considered calling, but really I don't like dealing with support, as in many cases I know more then they do. However, I do it when needed. I typically feel the same about forums as well, but I decided to watch this to see if someone ever posted a solution, or at least a potential time of resolution from Apple. Either way, glad it's not just me.

Make sure you are contacting the correct Apple Support department. You want to contact billing. I've contacted them twice so far (last month and this month) and both times they told me it's a known issue that is being worked on, but couldn't tell me the ETA to fixing it.

I would also recommend either the email or chat option.

Same here. Stopped receiving email receipts for iTunes Store purchases once November hit and just realized it yesterday. Couldn't find a form to email them about it, but the site led me to here. At least I know it's not an issue on my end, I was thinking that maybe because they got rid of iTunes that people that still use it were losing support/features.

Hey all, I was curious if the issue was fixed, or not because I am getting conflicting information here. There was a post saying Apple fixed the issue, and receipts should be good to go from Dec 10th going forward. I'm also seeing posts from people reporting problems still. I made a purchase yesterday (in-app) for the Mac, and while the charge shows up on the bank's site, no receipt from Apple. Usually in my case, when I see the charge, the receipt has come, or comes right after.

Am I right to assume, the issue is not resolved yet? Thanks.

Not Received Any Receipts from Apple iTunes, iCloud & App Store since October 2019. Been charged for iCloud, Apple Care+ & iTunes, App Store purchases & in App purchases. Only received receipts for new devices from Apple Purchased & new Apple Care+. 2 months November & December 2019, of not receiving receipts for purchases. This causes & issue when some purchases are on Apple Credit Card & others iTunes Pass (iTunes Gift Card). Can’t chase after any merchant monthly to receive a receipt for purchases made for months was not given. Charge backs & credit card disputes use receipts even from Apple. Major mistake on Apples part to not address this mistake & fix it with launch of Apple credit card.

Even when receipts were working, I wasn't a big fan of Apple's payment system anyway. Most everything else I purchase from online, gives you a receipt instantly, and the charge shows up instantly. Apple's has always been: You pay, and then in certain number of days, you see your charge / receipt. It's always worked fine, it's just the way. Apple does certain things compared to the majority of others that irritates me at times. As far as my last purchase, everything is complete. Just waiting now for them to fix the automated receipts problem.
