Mixing/Bouncing

Hi All,

When I bounce my music and vocals together, for some reason the music is very far back - the final piece doesn't sound even.

I took off the plug-in "Limiter" on the vocals but then the vocals sounded 'in the mud'.

Any advise?

Thanking you in advance!

The bounce screenshot has PCM highlighted, but you are bouncing to MP3 (the blue tick), so you should highlight that so we can see what settings you have there.

Also, your mix is too simple, everything goes directly to the stereo out. You should route similar tracks to auxes (submixes), so you can submix them there and have more control over the coherence of the various elements.

Also, are all those plugins actually doing something? That is an awful lot of pitch correction, are you actually using that? Flex Pitch is a better approach for that.

You may need to watch some tutorial video's on how to mix, to get a better grasp of that process. The (paid) videos by Macprovideo are a good point to start. (Im am not affiliated with them, other pro video sites are available) but I would start with pro video makers, there are just too many amateur badmixhabit instilling YT tutorial video's out there.

also, this is a great site to get solid advice, the website owned and run by the writer of the official (used by Apple to train for Logic Pro X certification) Logic Pro book, David Nahmani:

Mixing is not something that can be learned quickly in a day or a week, but once you dive into it using these resources you will improve quickly.

Unfortunately that cannot be remedied by just looking at your mixer on a screenshot, mixing is an art and a skill that is akin to learning to play a musical instrument. I am however willing to take a listen to your mix and provide you with some pointers, if you are willing to upload your complete project to Google Drive or dropbox or similar big file sharing services and post a link to that here, or indeed over at https://www.logicprohelp.com/forum/

What is in it for me? I am in the process of starting a business providing this kind of help, and I am training myself - so helping you would help me practising my supporting skills - and (for now) it is still free of any charge.

Important when uploading the project: zip the folder or the package (whichever you use) before uploading it. Unzipped project folders or packages may get corrupted or unreadable. ZIPping prevents that.
