Does anyone else have the issue of using an original Magic Mouse (1)A1296 with iPadOS 13.4 and can’t get it to scroll using the gesture?
Is there something I can do to fix it? Or is this just the way to force us vying MM2?
turn on/off, re-pairing doesn’t help at all.

As per https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211008 "iPadOS doesn't support scrolling or other gestures with Apple Magic Mouse (1st generation) and Magic Trackpad (1st generation)". This is unacceptable and there is no way this is a "Hardware" restriction as the mouse sends a digital signal to the computer (or iPad) and the software is responsible for translating and executing the instructions. I really never say this (or feel this way about Apple) but this is a perfect example of Apple restricting something for no reason other than to get you to purchase a new product. All they need to do is (for lack of a better way of putting it) unlock this feature. It isn't even a feature, it is something Mice have been doing for decades.... As I did, all you can do is put in feedback at apple.com/feedback and maybe if enough people complain they will fix it.... Very unnecessarily frustrating...

This is very unfortunate.
As far as I can tell it doesn’t work. If you go to https://support.apple.com/guide/ipad/learn-magic-trackpad-gestures-ipad66ce6358/ipados you can see that scrolling is an “Additional gesture for Magic Trackpad 2” This feature is totally worthless with a 1st gen Magic Trackpad since you have to constantly touch the screen.
Now that in Official iPadOS13.4, the scrolling for MagicMouse Gen1 is still not working. But just want to get this straight - if the iPad can register left and right click, its well capable of sensing touch. I think what Apple trying to do is to make the first gen mouse and trackpad obsoleted. But honestly for the Magic Mouse 1st and 2nd gen, the only difference is the battery...

No help from Apple Support on Twitter. Basically said yeah no it’s not supported.
Again, the only thing you can really do is go to apple.com/feedback OR you can call in and ask an Apple Care Advisor to file one but they are essentially the same thing.
I confirm it.
You can drag to scroll but you have to turn on Accessibility. But it won’t work in Safari, Mail and in most cases, unfortunately.
For me does not work as well. I tried with a Microsoft Modern Mobile Mouse (via bluetooth). It works fine :)
I have been doing this since iPadOS 13.3, using a perfectly normal Bluetooth mouse to navigate the operating system (also using AssistiveTouch) and it was fine until the 13.4 update which broke the scrolling and a couple of other things. I’m still absolutely livid.
Since this build is the GM version, would this not be the final release version?
