It's 110% an iOS 13.4 issue affecting iPhone 7. There is a video out there that showed this issue even in the beta (https://www.reddit.com/r/iOSBeta/comments/f0yrtp/bug_cant_watch_browser_video_on_134_beta_7_plus/).

Furthermore, it's broken on all browsers, not just safari. It doesn't work on chrome or firefox either. Doesn't work even if you request the desktop website.

I downgraded my phone to 13.3.1 and the video returns and works perfectly. Upgraded back to 13.4 on a clean install and the browser video breaks again. Not related to wifi, or poor connection, or anything else. I've tried restarting, erasing all settings, restoring the phone etc etc.

Absolutely infuriating bug, especially seeing as that it was present in the beta which was released over a month ago. Plenty of time to fix this nonsense issue. No reason for this to be happening. Bad oversight by the software development team. Guess this is how they force upgrades on consumers...

Its most likey an audio IC chip problem same as mine and common problem in iphone 7

issues are the following:

.calls you cant hear And cant hear them back

.making a calls and the facetime Option is grayed out and speaker

.Go to your voice memo app and try recording and if it doesnt work yeah

.plug a lightning based earphones but it doesnt work.....

.long boot times(apple logo takes time to disappear or after restarting your iphone, your wifi is disable for exactly 3-4 mins then its working after that....

.using bluetooth earphones temporary fixes call issues

if you have all of the problems above, then congrats you have a faulty Audio IC chip....same as me

Last night I upgraded to iOS 13.5 beta 3. Video playback is OK now. Looks like they have fixed it.

After an upgrade to ios 11.x or 12.x my microphone stopped working at times on my iphone 7. The start time (apple logo) was very long. The microphone clicked. Until a few days later it stopped working and making noises. Since then the start time is normal but I am definitely unable to use the microphone anymore.

This repair has been around for years. All you need to do is a 3 second google search to find hundred results of other people thinking it broke when they upgraded to iOS 11.x.x or iOS 12.x.x and now you guys with iOS 13.4.1. It's not related to software. Not to mention that you can restore your phone and test it before putting your backup on it (incase the backup contains the issue). The issue will persist. You can downgrade your software, and it will persist. Understand now that it is a hardware issue. A very well known issue at that as well. Forget their diagnostics, he told me mine was normal too. Well guess what? My mic has been broken for months through multiple software updates. Do some research and learn the issue is audio IC. Go watch some videos on YouTube with people outlining the problems. You will see that you have every single issue they mention. Or maybe you have a couple of the issues, and it's not full blown "loop disease" as they call it. Either way the issue is the same hardware problem. See the earlier post in this thread where someone listed all the symptoms of a broken chip. If you still believe it's software, then I have a bridge to sell you.

Playing video content(Video Playback) via Safari, Chrome, Opera does't work on my iPhone 7 it just shows the video screen as black screen but the audio for the same works absolutely fine via speaker, headset, airpods or any other Bluetooth hearing device. But the thing which I noticed early this morning is if you stream video content through UC BROWSER just works absolutely fine without any issue tried streaming (youtube, & netflix). This problem started after updating iOS to 13.4.1 all you can do is just wait for the bug to be fixed in the meanwhile use UC Browser and be happy that's all I can say.

Guys, this is extremely frustrating but I found a temporary fix. As some of you mentioned here; the work around the non working calls is a Bluetooth device (AirPods). And for the video playback I got mine to work after I upgraded to 13.5. Beta which is the developer IOS version. You can download this version from Apple developer. They announced this will be available to the public in June so hopefully by then we have a complete fix for both problems. I am

not buying a new phone until testing out the new IOS software ^^. Hope it helps guys. Make sure to back up your phone.

Just got off the phone with Apple. They’re suggesting continued troubleshooting, which involves wiping the phone and doing a clean install and then adding all my apps and music back. I am not willing to do that yet. I’m going to try force-reinstalling 13.4.1 again to see if that still fixes the problem even temporarily. If not, looks like I’ll be using Bluetooth devices for the foreseeable future. Apple acknowledges that multiple iPhone 7 users are seeing these exact issues but so far has NOT admitted any inherent problems with the 13.4.1 update.
