Webpages crashing after Safari update?

Hi, recently updated to Safari 13.1 and now webpages constantly crash with following error message:

"This page was reloaded because a problem occurred"

Is this latest Safari update compatible with macOS High Sierra 10.13.6?

Many Thanks!

Same issues. There are several threads open with same issue.

Tried with no luck: Cleared caches, history. Disabled extensions. Deleted cache files (for WebKit & Safari).

What works: Logging in as a clean user. So there's some conflict with latest security updates and something in Safari at the user-level.

I have this problem with Safari 13.1 and High Sierra 10.13.6. too. It’s extremely frustrating, to say the least.

A temporary fix appears to be disabling JavaScript: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251220745

Unfortunately, that impairs functionality for many webpages (e.g., with JavaScript disabled the Reply and “I have this question too” buttons don’t work on this page).
