Can't enable icloud Drive On iPhone 11

Hi, I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max running iOS 13.4. My carrier is T-Mobile. When I go into the Files app, I’m presented with a big blue button that says "Turn on iCloud Drive."

When I press that button, it takes me to the iCloud panel in Settings. In that panel is a switch to turn on iCloud drive. When I flip the switch on and it turns green, it opens up a screen that says "Upgrade to iCloud Drive."

The problem is that the actual "Upgrade" button doesn't do anything when pressed, and neither does the "Cancel" button. They are also overlapping each other.

I am now stuck and unable to activate or access my iCloud Drive. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any help would be appreciated. I have enclosed a screenshot of the three screens in question:Thank you!

Agreed,

logging on a windows browser may or may not have helped for me.

iCloud Drive didn’t start working when I logged in from a windows machine.

I then realised it might be a payment acknowledgment issue. Something on Apple’s end wasn’t satisfying the “have paid for” iCloud Drive setting, so the Apple device cannot turn iCloud Drive on.

so, go into settings, your AppleID, click into payments and shipping. iCloud Drive started working on the Apple device. Repeated the steps on the other Apple device, it also started working,

Suspect it is a glitch between handling an iCloud Drive upgrade payment setting to “paid” that doesn’t quite sync right.

No need for factory reset!

Hi, Yes I am using Wndows on my Laptop, I can see everything that you are in your picture. I have clicked on 'Pages' but again it doesn't seem to be link to my problem. I will look through at Jfkladsjo's responses and hopefully this will help or I may contact them. Thanks again for your help!

Hi, Please can you help me as I am having the same issues. I have gone onto icloud on my computer and I can see the icloud drive icon along with the others. There doesn't seem to be an option to turn 'icloud on'. I'm stuck, any advice would be great!!

For anyone seeing this:

Go to iCloud.com on a computer, log in with your account, click on "Pages" and upgrade to iCloud Drive. This should automatically enable iCloud drive on all your synced apple devices.

This worked for me. Do let me know if this works for you too!

When I go to Pages, it says in the middle of the screen "No recently opened docs", then on the left hand side it says "Recent", "Browse", "Shared" and "Recently Deleted". This doesn't come up anywhere "enable iCloud Drive." :-(

Hi, had this exact problem on my iPhone & iPad this year (even after the 14.2 update). Called Apple Support and they gave me the solution.

Apparently if you see this, it can't be resolved on iOS devices - needs to be done on Mac or PC.

Go to iCloud.com, sign in, open one of the productivity apps like pages or numbers. It will say you can't continue unless you upgrade to iCloud Drive. Click the button to confirm you want to upgrade to iCloud Drive.

This should do it. Save something in Pages/Numbers to your iCloud Drive location to check it doesn't complain.

If you go to the iCloud page on iOS now you should see iCloud drive is turned on. You should also see it in the Files app.

Restart your device.
Go to Settings > Tap on your Name > iCloud > Scroll down until you see "iCloud Drive" then toggle it to enable.

Hi, I suggested that he use a Windows computer and Pages, but it doesn’t seem to be working for him. That’s why I gave him the option to do a hard reset.

No problem. If you go to iCloud.com, after logging in, do you see Pages as an option?
