iOS 13.4.1 battery drain
I have updated my iPad mini 2019 two days ago and battery is practically worst ever. By browsing only drops 1% per minute. Anyone experiencing same problem?

After putting in a few hours of research trying to figure out this issue someone recommended checking battery usage of apps and sure enough Siri was running 100%..!..It was suggested to completely turn off Siri on the device and also on iCloud, which I did and it completely fixed the issue immediately.
I was even having Issues with it charging quickly and those issues are also gone.
I believe that the update definitely effected how Siri runs in the background and I suggest you try the same to see if it works for you.

Yes, i have been facing similar problem in iOS 13.4 in iPhone xS. I have found many threads for such issue. Not sure, what the solution is.
However, in my device, the earpiece is overheating extremely badly. Apple would need to issue new iOS soon to rectify
I have an iPhone 7 plus, and it has 13.4.1 on it and the age of the phone's battery tells me time for a replacement pretty soon
I have not noticed undue battery drain my iPhone or my iPad.
This makes me speculate some app is using more power, check the settings and battery to see if any apps stick out
Have to admit though that not having any issues with battery life on my iPhone 11 Pro Max like I am some of the other devices! I do have Siri disabled on all devices as I hate being interrupted or having my Watch series 3 constantly asking me whenever I move my arm! I also disable Location Service for EVERY app that I don’t want it to use it all the time. Only app I allow usage is for Dark Sky for weather (although with the Lockdown, I don’t need to now what the weather is going to be like whilst in a 12 week isolation as a “very high risk & vulnerable” person according to my Doctor’s!). I class 10% per hour screen on time at 50% brightness as normal acceptable usage on my devices. If not getting that then there is something I either need to change or a problem with the OS/an app.
No one seems to want to call contact Apple.
The Apple feedback pages will send the feedback but you will not get any responses from Apple from the feedback you post.
Sometimes calling Apple directly might help to correct the issue or get some new info on an issue from Apple.
Also, if first tier Apple employee support contact doesn't help or has no real info on an issue, you can politely ask to have your iOS device issues to be escalated to higher tier Apple support employee or senior support representative/s.
Best of Luck to You!
Just an additional update. Even with Siri turned off in every way I see in my battery usage that Siri is STILL draining my battery! It’s the top culprit of battery usage at 31%.
I’ve read that turning off dictation will alleviate the battery drain but I do sometimes use that function, although I have not used it for weeks and still am experiencing the battery issues.
I do want to still note that turning off Siri significantly alleviated the massive battery drain I was experiencing. The device is at least able to hold a charge for a good 6 hours or so but this is still unacceptable. It seems Siri is still the culprit working in the background somehow.
The only thing I can say here is that this issue is total ******** and needs to be fixed.
I'm with you. I reset to factory, loaded capabilities and apps slowly, and now I have battery. Maybe an app I haven't reloaded was the problem, but then why didn't it show up on the battery-usage profile in the first place?
Confused, tired of dealing with it, and happy that for the moment the battery is working the way it used to.
Same is happening with my iPhone 8. I tried all fixes, I Reset all my settings, I did a factory reset and DFU Restore on my device. I turned of Background App Refresh and Location Services. I turned of Siri. Earlier I used to get a full day usage after fully charging the device. But now it works for 4-5 hours (light usage) before touching 10%. And if I use heavy apps like YouTube or Instagram it drops by a percent a minute. This has started after updating to iOS 13.3 and has drastically worsened after updating to iOS 13.4.1. Maybe Apple wants us to upgrade to newer iPhones 🤷🏻. I hope they release a fix in the next update.
It is not a trick. When you turn it off from Settings, the Bluetooth radio is completely disabled. But when you turn it off from the Control Center, it only disconnects all devices, but leaves the Bluetooth radio ON. There is a real difference on how iOS handles the user input.
Only Apple knows why they implemented it that way.

So far the latest public BETA of 13.5 does NOT solve our battery drainage.
Best thing is to do as the other guy posted above/earlier (with direct link) suggested and report to Apple.
There is still hope, but I don’t see it fixed by 13.5 (Final/Release) as it’s not everyone whos affected (Wish it was).
I posted earlier in this thread, as my iPhone 11Pro was draining like a toilet, telling me Siri was to blame even when Siri was turned off completely. I had even talked Apple into giving me a new phone on the assumption that something was wrong with the battery, which shows how clueless the were about the problem with their own software. The new phone, restored from an iCloud backup of the old one, was just as bad. Apple couldn't help me beyond sending me a new phone, so I bit the bullet and reset the phone to factory and installed only the apps I needed to get through the day. Everything's been fine with the battery since then, and I have added many apps. I never figured out what the original problem was; what I did learn was that I had accumulated a whole lot of apps I didn't need. My iPad has the update and never experience any problem at all.
Wish I had some great insight to share, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
The problem then could be with how iOS performed the update and restored all apps, files and settings.
My phone was almost perfect until I installed the update. Siri on my phone was already off. In my case, turning off the Bluetooth alone preserves the battery. Even FaceTime is off on my phone now (although turning off that alone earlier didn’t help in my case).
Given that the update focused on a limited number of items (in this case Bluetooth & FaceTime), restoring something related to these should be causing the problem.
So turning off Bluetooth, Camera, Siri (since it helped a few people) and keeping low display brightness should help.
God. Michel -- if I went through all that and it was just charging cables....but wait. I'm still using the same cables. I reset my phone and didn't re-download a lot of apps I never used anyway, got the ones I need and now everything's as it should be. The update didn't do anything to my iPad. Seems like not everyone is having the same experience.
If you go to the Apple store and bring your charger, they can test the charger there. This is what I done. They saw that all 3 of my charges were not working and then they tested my devices again using my old charger adapter and a brand new cable. It worked instantly. They gave me 3 lightening cables for free because my devices were under warranty. Give it a go
I have a screenshot, but not sure how to make it visible to you. It's basically a straight green downslope ending in red, from full charge to zero in 12 hours with very little activity indicated in the bar graph below, and "Calendar" showing 61% of usage, which is ridiculous. Before that it showed "Siri" as being 90% of usage even when I had Siri turned off. Things were effed up for sure. Again, no concrete idea of how it all got better with a reset.
I think I may have isolated the problem at least for some iPhone models. This is only day one though.
Another poster commented about an issue with a SIM card and LTE which didn't make much sense to me except that if 13.4.1/13.5 contained a modem issue that was draining battery.
I had VoLTE (Voice over LTE) turned OFF but it seems that iOS 13's new menu system turned this back on. Turning VoLTE Off (Settings > Cellular Data Options > Voice & Data > LTE, VoLTE Off) seems to have improved the battery today although I have not used the device as much today. However, I am not seeing the dramatic IDLE battery loss as I was before.
It may be a starting point so please try turning VoLTE off and reporting your findings to all of us. If we find that this is the issue maybe we can submit a more detailed bug report. (For iPhones or perhaps iPads that have an LTE modem -- which would require LTE off entirely if this was the same problem)...
So, I have two suggestions:
Turn off VoLTE if you have the option. See how the device operates over the next 24 hours.
If you have an iPad/don't have a VoLTE option, turn off LTE and see how the device operates over the next 24 hours.
Let us know if this solves anything at all and then we may find the source of this bug.
You need to make Apple aware of this by calling/chatting with Apple support and leaving feedback in the feedback link I provided.
Apple needs to be made aware of this.
