After putting in a few hours of research trying to figure out this issue someone recommended checking battery usage of apps and sure enough Siri was running 100%..!..It was suggested to completely turn off Siri on the device and also on iCloud, which I did and it completely fixed the issue immediately.
I was even having Issues with it charging quickly and those issues are also gone.
I believe that the update definitely effected how Siri runs in the background and I suggest you try the same to see if it works for you.
Have you tried turning of Siri Voice control as someone here has mentioned?
Hello,
Try resetting iPad's settings in Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. Be certain you do not select Erase All Content and Settings as this will erase all of your information. It is a good idea to perform a backup of your iPad prior to resetting its settings.
Same issue here....updated to 13.4.1 two days ago and experiencing significant decrease in battery life instantly. The phone (iPhone x) would hold a decent charge for at least 2 days....now 4 hours and it’s dead and that’s with minimal use. Just fetching email and a few phone calls.
Ive done all the resets, etc...any help is appreciated!

Same here. 2018 iPad Pro 12.9" After 13.4.1 update battery life is much worse. I always run my devices at full bright (don't judge me) but even with that I would use about 15% per hour doing some web browsing, Twitter and YouTube videos. After the update it's draining at a rate of 22% per hour under the same use. I've resorted to doing a wipe and setting it up as new but still seeing the same poor battery life (yes I waited until it was done indexing). Battery health is still good (98%) with 105 charge cycles. Usually have Apple's Smart Keyboard or a Brydge Pro keyboard attached to it with a Magic Mouse 2. Side note: I'm always amazed at how much space gets freed up after a wipe.
Yes, I checked app battery usage and I doubt that webrowsing and whatsup eat my battery so quick. I do not use Siri and I never used it. One day everything was ok and after new iOS update suddenly my battery started dying in less than one day. Now I came back from a walk. Had fully charged phone. I was listening only music via headphones (original and cabbled apple one) and after 20 minutes of walk I lost 25% of my battery. Yesterday I swithed off everything what could eat my battery (opened appps, localisations, updates, ect) but did not helped. I did research and everybody complain that this iOS update once again is not good one in matter of battery lifetime.
Siri used to be the "main drain" for me, too. Then it was Calendars. Then it was Messages. Every time I reset/icloud restored the phone something else took the lead. This time I reset the phone and didn't restore. I'm adding apps slowly, including Siri, Bluetooth, Face Recognition and a few others, slowly slowly to see if there's a point where things take off into the weeds. So far, so good. This has taken days of hassle. A $1200 phone, I shouldn't have to do this, and end up with fewer bells and whistles than I had back when the battery lasted all day and into the night.
I turned off now almost everything and i put last night in low power and sleep mode. Wi-fi off, 3G mode for carrier.
After 7 hours,in the morning, it dropped from 40% to 18%. :(((
i don’t know what else to do...
Maybe after 2-3 weeks it will be ok, like it was after each major update.
i wait....if not, restore the backup with 13.3 and that’s it
iPhone XS Max here and battery is ridiculous since the 13.4.1 update. Never had an issue before. Simple instructions like hard resets, etc. are counterproductive when it's a firmware issue that was not present before the update.
There are three main bugs that have NOT been fixed (two with AirPods Pro that just got updated today with NO fixes as well as our 13.4.1 battery issue):
1) ANC-issue since 2B588 firmware (released Nov. 2019) that remained in 2C54 and new 2D15 (released 5/5/2020): https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250887615?answerId=252591015022
2) Clicking sound on AirPods Pro that has been around for months also not fixed today with 2D15 (got worse for me).
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251050158?answerId=252591252022
3) iOS devices running 13.4.1 are having major battery drain issues since updating. There is no known fix as of today. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251265543?answerId=252584580022 (our thread)
Everyone that has this issue, please send Feedback to Apple about this.
1) Go to this link for iPhone: https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
Or this link for iPad: https://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html
2) Put your name and email.
3) Put the subject something like "iOS/iPadOS 13.4.1 Major Battery Issues" or something similar.
4) Mark the Feedback type as a "Bug Report".
5) Briefly discuss it. iOS/iPadOS 13.4.1 doesn't show up under the dropdown for "Which version iOS are you using" yet so either leave it blank or just use 13.4.
Submit it.
Same is happening with my iPhone 8. I tried all fixes, I Reset all my settings, I did a factory reset and DFU Restore on my device. I turned of Background App Refresh and Location Services. I turned of Siri. Earlier I used to get a full day usage after fully charging the device. But now it works for 4-5 hours (light usage) before touching 10%. And if I use heavy apps like YouTube or Instagram it drops by 2 percent a minute. This has started after updating to iOS 13.3 and has drastically worsened after updating to iOS 13.4.1. My battery health is at 88%. Maybe Apple wants us to upgrade to newer iPhones 🤷🏻. I hope they release a fix in the next update.
Apple does monitor these forums despite popular belief. I know that because I have been specifically contacted by AppleCare about the infamous ANC bug for the AirPods Pro and they reached out to me "because of posts you made in the Apple Communities".
Further, gathering information from other users and then urging them to contact Apple Support AND send feedback about the bug report is essential in getting this resolved. The more reports they have, the faster there will be a fix.
Michel,
XS Max user here. Turning off Siri did not fix the issue (tried this for 24 hours). Turning off Bluetooth did not fix the issue (tried separately). And charging with a wire (not wirelessly) did not fix this issue. All methods were performed separately as to not confound the issue.
DFU-mode full restore from a brand new ipsw file that iTunes downloaded from the server also did not fix the issue.
Good morning from Portugal. I have had an iphoneX for two years and since iOS 13.4.1 I have been having battery problems. When Wi-Fi is on, the battery starts to drain quickly. When I hang up, the battery lasts for a day and a half, losing only 20%. I already called Apple Portugal they say they are unaware that this can happen, however in international articles they say that one of the symptoms is battery life, not being able to last long. I have the phone for 2 years and I only lost 8% of the maximum battery capacity ... It is desperate ... I have a 7 generation iPad with 2 months, I installed iOS 13.5 and the same thing happened, which forced me to do the downgrade to 13.4.1 and the battery returned to normal, already on iphoneX, I did the same thing, but the situation continues. Apple, fix this problem !!! In June I receive the iPhone 11 Pro and I don't want to have the same problem !!!
