I have updated my iPad mini 2019 two days ago and battery is practically worst ever. By browsing only drops 1% per minute. Anyone experiencing same problem?

After putting in a few hours of research trying to figure out this issue someone recommended checking battery usage of apps and sure enough Siri was running 100%..!..It was suggested to completely turn off Siri on the device and also on iCloud, which I did and it completely fixed the issue immediately.

I was even having Issues with it charging quickly and those issues are also gone.

I believe that the update definitely effected how Siri runs in the background and I suggest you try the same to see if it works for you.

iPhone 11 Pro. Battery started draining really fast, probably 13.3 but might have been 13.4. Spent many long hours on the phone with Apple -- very helpful people. The consensus was there had to be something wrong with the battery. They sent me a brand-new phone, which I reset from an iCloud backup. The problem persisted, which eliminates the possibility that there was something wrong with the original battery. Back on the phone with Apple -- they are stumped. I have turned off everything I can turn off, eliminated all background activities, down to the barest of bones (please don't suggest that I turn off this or that, I've turned everything off, and besides there was never anything "on" that wasn't on when the battery used to last for two days.) Recharge to 100% and the green graph in battery health starts its inexorable plunge shortly thereafter. Battery usage shows "calendars" which I rarely use. Before I turned off Siri it was showing Siri as the majority battery user -- and I use very little Siri. I've just factory reset without iCloud reset. Holding my breath. Anyone have any suggestions, I'm getting a little desperate.

For my Iphone 7 the update is draining the battery just by looking at it.

As i’am writing now it is droping like a counter the battery value.

The same happened after the update from 11.1 to 13.1. It was ok after 2 weeks after the update, something with the registry they said.

4 days ago it is ok with the last OS. Now with wi-fi off and almost nothing on mobile data, just mail and whatsapp, is droping in 4 hours to zero.

P.S. It took 10% of battery to write you this message:(

I have 13.4.1 on all my compatible devices. My iPad Pro sits on the window sill and it has been there for several days and it still has 84% of the charge left on it.

So my experience with my phone is more demanding as I use it a lot for calls all day. So by the end of the day the battery can be down to 45-60% at supper time. It still lasts into the evening for social calls etc.

So I have to question the apps people are using.

I have the same issue after the update - but only with my iPhone 8. In standby the battery is down in 24 hours.

I did a full factory reset, only wlan connection in my home applied and no other apps installed. No difference - over 70 percent battery down within 20 hours. No apps used all the time. Background activities turned off and so on...

I have reported.

The bluetooth (yes yes yes from Settings and not ”Control Center) trick, the Siri... etc etc.

Didn’t do anything to my battery usage... still dropping 30-40% during my sleep.

The only thing that made it use 2-3% was airplane mode (control center). But yes that’s fine for sleep, but not during daytime...

I’m installing 13.5 beta and crossing fingers they have “sorted it”

Yes, they do even if they insist that we use the feedback link for reporting problems.

But your comments are kind of implying that the workarounds are not working. The fact is they are working for some, and everyone is aware that this is a temporary solution that is far from perfect (and undesirable) until Apple rolls out an update addressing these issues.

I'm using the iPhone 7 with iOS 13.4.1. Have now deactivated all I can and the battery drain still exists. Have reported the problem. The phone is useless as is, it will be empty in an emergency (hospital). Am no expert, but I seriously wonder whether this is in connection with the recently announced modifications to assist Covid-19 contact tracing.

Glad to have been of assistance. Not sure about "enlightening" anyone, as I still have no idea what was wrong or what fixed it.

I've got everything working now: Bluetooth, Siri (without "Hey, Siri"), Find My Phone. Gmail, and my necessary apps are installed. I have almost all "background" activities turned off, which doesn't seem to cause any inconvenience so far. The battery lasts two days and doesn't drain when not in use. It's a bloomin' mystery, but at least it's over. Cheers!

After two weeks from the update it all came back to “normal”. Usual drain from battery. It was perfect.

When i put the wi-fi off,no Facebook, only mail, whatsapp and switched to low-battery, the drain was 1% per hour.

Now, since 3 days, i have a drain of 10% per hour. Doing nothing. I checked all settings, all apps, all notification, all gps privacy...nothing was changed. Only the battery is going down very fast. I’m desperate:(
