After putting in a few hours of research trying to figure out this issue someone recommended checking battery usage of apps and sure enough Siri was running 100%..!..It was suggested to completely turn off Siri on the device and also on iCloud, which I did and it completely fixed the issue immediately.

I was even having Issues with it charging quickly and those issues are also gone.

I believe that the update definitely effected how Siri runs in the background and I suggest you try the same to see if it works for you.

I have seen no improvement in the battery drain since this 13.4.1 . It's dreadful i have to charge my phone at least twice a day since this download and I used to do it every other day before this. Also the phone gets really hot when I use some apps and facetime. Apple dont seem to be interested in acknowledging there is an issue or improving this and I am serously considering changing to Android when my contract expires. I dont feel I can rely on my Apple iphone X anymore.

Despite your clearly articulated academic achievements, you are evidently of the belief that here you are addressing Apple - assuming that contributors herein are able to change the coding of the system or Apps. Whilst being credited with such influence is indeed gratifying, it might be constructive to provide some enlightenment In this regard.

Everyone here is an end-user customer, just like you. Apple does not participate within these technical forums. Contributors here attempt to share the benefit of their knowledge and expertise with others that seek assistance with product issues...

As such, in context of your final comment, there is nothing that we can do to “admit error” or “fix” anything. The best that any of us can do, noting that many contributors here are very knowledgable (and in some cases, exceedingly well qualified) is to provide guidance in trying to resolve or work-around your explicit problem.

This has happened immediately after iOS 13.4 update and hence worried.

How to identify which App is causing much pressure on CPU (I could not find anything in >Settings>Battery>Battery Health; since I have removed SIM card since 1 day out of phone). Eve after removal of SIM and starting phone after 1 day, It becomes HOT and Battery drips at much faster pace.

Hello Michael,

I have an iPhone 8 Plus with this iOS and since my update I noticed huge amount of battery drain in a single day. Just today I took of the phone from charger around 8 and by 10:30 i have 85% left. Before the iOS update i finished my day with 20-30% leftover, now i am happy if I can reach bed with 1% :D

In Settings->Battery->Battery Health i have 85% and I have optimised Battery Charging on. In Battery my highest usage is on Safari and even if I am not using it, somehow it counts up and takes battery out... (however I do not know if this is really caused by Safari alone or something else).

I have at Settings->Siri Listen for hey siri on and also Press Home for Siri on.

Hard reset, soft reset, all kind of reset etc... does not solved my issue so far.

After reading your comment, is it now true that Siri is problematic with this new update? Shall i try to switch off Listen for hey Siri, or even Press Home for Siri (so turn Siri completely off) and give a try without Siri? If so I will also report this to Apple for sure, because before this 13.4.1 I did not have any issue with my Battery.

Many thanks for your advise!
