After putting in a few hours of research trying to figure out this issue someone recommended checking battery usage of apps and sure enough Siri was running 100%..!..It was suggested to completely turn off Siri on the device and also on iCloud, which I did and it completely fixed the issue immediately.

I was even having Issues with it charging quickly and those issues are also gone.

I believe that the update definitely effected how Siri runs in the background and I suggest you try the same to see if it works for you.

Apologises but I do not understand one basic think. Before iOS update was everything ok. After iOS we have to turn off almost everything to battery work longer? Everybody see what is the reason of batter drainage so why we have to play with turning off instead request Apple to repair their mistake. I have siri turned off but nothing helped. I loos 5% of baterry every 10 minutes whi I ddo not use my phone at all. Everything is turned off, even wifi and network connection and even that does not help.

Can we have any official statement from Apple?

came here to say “same” and look for possible solutions. Charged my phone to 61% and went to bed (unplugged it) at 10:23 pm last night. It was dead this morning. It was on low power mode and everything. I checked usage and it died at 5 am?! Chatting with Apple now. I also noticed my phone getting really hot yesterday and i wasn’t using it any more than normal.

I do not know what happened, but 2 days now and my battery drain gone... please do not ask what I did, because I did nothing, i tried the Siri bug (turn off) but after I noticed my battery drains I turned back on.

So since 2 days I do not have this problem, i used my phone (iPhone 8 plus) today as normal as before and i am sitting here in 15 o'clock with more than 80%.

So I can think in the following way, and it might be crazy, but honestly I am lost now:

1) since I contacted with Apple on the feedback survey, somebody from apple logged in my phone remotely and fixed it

2) i am still updating apps, maybe it was an app (however that was not shown on battery usage in settings) and the developer fixed it

3) maybe it was a bad star constellation or Moon phase... :) :D

Honestly I really hope it was (2). But at least I can say it was not Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp or so as I do not received update from them in this timeframe :)

I am really lost now, because it is good now, but I have no idea why and how (I just turned off and on Siri from 1 day to another). I also read that somebody drained in "stand-by" mode so when the phone is "off" and laying on the desk, i also had the same, i did not touched it and still drained in the past.

To be honest no quick act from Allpe side is very enoying and I believe it is not fair. I do not know why they do that when nowadays on the word there are plenty competitors with as good product as their. When I was buying my iphone, the main decision for it was non problems with using it. I mean: it has no any software with errors, no suddenly turns off, ect. This was even more important from very limited and not fully availlable softwares in iphone (when adroid could do much more). But now the situation of constantly problems with it after almost every single update, it makes apple product quality flying down. I know it is my subiective opinion but when I was proud that I have iphone before (not to be posh but because of possessing very good quality product) - now I am huge disapointed. I will never ever buy iphone again.

You should alway buy the device that best meets your needs. You'll find that your iPhone has very good resale value should you decide to sell it an buy a phone that works better for you.

I have recently updates my iphone X to 13.4.1. and the battery drain after the installation had been instant. This morning I have hardly used the phone and battery life is down to 54% and the back fo the phone now gets hot when I use it for any length of time

I have looked at all the ideas to improve performance and followed them but nothing is working.

When are you going to provide an update to resolve this. It's a very serious issue Apple?

Phones are so important to those of us who are stuck at home in lockdown. Please resolve this quickly.
