Why will the software update bubble not go away??

Help! After updating to Catalina, I have had a persistent 1 bubble showing on the software update icon in System Preferences.

I ran the update last night to 10.15.4 and after that ran, it was gone, but then this morning after a restart, its back again, however when you open it, it says no software updates.

How in gods name do I get rid of it and why is it still showing???

Shows in both the Pref app and in the launch bar... (and drives me insane!)

Open Software Update. It may say the OS is up to date, but you may see a secondary button about the middle of the panel, above the Advanced button. That's where Apple sticks non-OS updates, such as those for Safari, or security updates.

I don't want/need to ignore the upgrade prompt - i'm trying to get the bubble to go away, but from that post - it sounds like it basically won't and there isn't a way to clear it, however I gather those are from people who aren't running the actual upgrades and just want the bubble gone.

I've run all the upgrades and it still persists
